A wealthy man and his son loved to collect rare works of art. They had everything in their collection, from Picasso to Raphael. They would often sit together and admire the great works of art..When the Vietnam conflict broke out, the son went to war. He was very courageous and died in battle while rescuing another soldier. The father was notified and grieved deeply for his only son.
About a month later, just before Christmas, there was a knock at the door. A young man stood at the door with a large package in his hands..He said, 'Sir, you don't know me, but I am the soldier for whom your son gave his life. He saved many lives that day, and he was carrying me to safety when a bullet struck him in the heart and he died instantly... He often talked about you, and your love for art.' The young man held out this package. 'I know this isn't much. I'm not really a great artist, but I think your son would have wanted you to have this.
'The father opened the package. It was a portrait of his son, painted by the young man.
He stared in awe at the way the soldier had captured the personality of his son in the painting. The father was so drawn to the eyes that his own eyes welled up with tears. He thanked the young man and offered to pay him for the picture... 'Oh, no sir, I could never repay what your son did for me.It's a gift.'
The father hung the portrait over his mantle. Every time visitors came to his home he took them to see the portrait of his son before he showed them any of the other great works he had collected.
The man died a few months later. There was to be a great auction of his paintings. Many influential people gathered, excited over seeing the great paintings and having an opportunity to purchase one for their collection.On the platform sat the painting of the son. The auctioneer pounded his gavel. 'We will start the bidding with this picture of the son. Who will bid for this picture?
'There was silence..Then a voice in the back of the room shouted, 'We want to see the famous paintings.. Skip this one.
'But the auctioneer persisted.. 'Will somebody bid for this painting? Who will start the bidding? $100, $200?'Another voice angrily. 'We didn't come to see this painting. We came to see the Van Gogh's, the Rembrandts. Get on with the Real bids!
'But still the auctioneer continued. 'The son! The son! Who'll take the son?'Finally, a voice came from the very back of the room. It was the longtime gardener of the man and his son. 'I'll give $10 for the painting..' Being a poor man, it was all he could afford.'We have $10, who will bid $20?'
'Give it to him for $10. Let's see the masters.
'The crowd was becoming angry.. They didn't want the picture of the son. They wanted the more worthy investments for their collections. The auctioneer pounded the gavel. 'Going once, twice, SOLD for $10!
'A man sitting on the second row shouted, 'Now let's get on with the collection! 'The auctioneer laid down his gavel. 'I'm sorry, the auction is over.' 'What about the paintings?'' I am sorry. When I was called to conduct this auction, I was told of a secret stipulation in the will.... I was not allowed to reveal that stipulation until this time. Only the painting of the son would be auctioned. Whoever bought that painting would inherit the entire estate, including the paintings. The man who took the son gets everything! 'God gave His son 2,000 years ago to die on the cross. Much like the auctioneer, His message today is: 'The son, the son, who'll take the son?'
Because, you see, whoever takes the Son gets everything.

A License required for your house...no longer just for cars and mobile homes....
Thinking about selling your house - A look at H.R. 2454 (Cap and trade bill) This is unbelievable! Only the beginning from this administration! Home owners take note & tell your friends and relatives who are home owners!
Beginning one year after enactment of the Cap and Trade Act, you won't be able to sell your home unless you retrofit it to comply with the energy and water efficiency standards of this Act. H.R. 2454, the "Cap & Trade" bill passed by the House of Representatives, if also passed by the Senate, will be the largest tax increase any of us has ever experienced.
The Congressional Budget Office estimates that in just a few years the average cost to every family of four will be $6,800 per year. No one is excluded. However, once the lower classes feel the pinch in their wallets, you can be sure these voters get a tax refund (even if they pay no taxes at all) to offset this new cost.
Thus, you Mr. and Mrs. Middle Class America will have to pay even more since additional tax dollars will be needed to bail out everyone else.
But wait. This awful bill (that no one in Congress has actually read) has many more surprises in it. Probably the worst one is this: A year from now you won't be able to sell your house. Yes, you read that right. The caveat is (there always is a caveat) that if you have enough money to make required major upgrades to your home, then you can sell it. But, if not, then forget it. Even pre-fabricated homes ("mobile homes") are included.
In effect, this bill prevents you from selling your home without the permission of the EPA administrator. To get this permission, you will have to have the energy efficiency of your home measured. Then the government will tell you what your new energy efficiency requirement is and you will be forced to make modifications to your home under the retrofit provisions of this Act to comply with the new energy and water efficiency requirements.
Then you will have to get your home measured again and get a license (called a "label" in the Act) that must be posted on your property to show what your efficiency rating is; sort of like the Energy Star efficiency rating label on your refrigerator or air conditioner. If you don't get a high enough rating, you can't sell.
And, the EPA administrator is authorized to raise the standards every year, even above the automatic energy efficiency increases built into the Act. The EPA administrator, appointed by the President, will run the Cap & Trade program (AKA the "American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009") and is authorized to make any future changes to the regulations and standards he alone determines to be in the government's best interest. Requirements are set low initially so the bill will pass Congress; then the Administrator can set much tougher new standards every year.
The Act itself contains annual required increases in energy efficiency for private and commercial residences and buildings. However, the EPA administrator can set higher standards at any time. Sect. 202 Building Retrofit Program mandates a national retrofit program to increase the energy efficiency of all existing homes across America.
Beginning 1 year after enactment of the Act, you won't be able to sell your home unless you retrofit it to comply with the energy and water efficiency standards of this Act. You had better sell soon, because the standards will be raised each year and will be really hard (i.e., ex$pen$ive) to meet in a few years.
The Act allows the government to give you a grant of several thousand dollars to comply with the retrofit program requirements IF you meet certain energy efficiency levels. But, wait, the State can set additional requirements on who qualifies to receive the grants. You should expect requirements such as "can't have an income of more than $50K per year", "home selling price can't be more than $125K", or anything else to target the upper middle class (and that's YOU) and prevent them from qualifying for the grants.
Most of us won't get a dime and will have to pay the entire cost of the retrofit out of our own pockets. More transfer of wealth, more "change you can believe in." Sect. 204 Building Energy Performance Labeling Program establishes a labeling program that for each individual residence will identify the achieved energy efficiency performance for "at least 90 percent of the residential market within 5 years after the date of the enactment of this Act."
This means that within 5 years 90% of all residential homes in the U.S. must be measured and labeled. The EPA administrator will get $50M each year to enforce the labeling program. The Secretary of the Department of Energy will get an additional $20M each year to help enforce the labeling program. Some of this money will, of course, be spent on coming up with tougher standards each year.
Oh, the label will be like a license for your car. You will be required to post the label in a conspicuous location in your home and will not be allowed to sell your home without having this label. And, just like your car license, you will probably be required to get a new label every so often - maybe every year. But, the government estimates the cost of measuring the energy efficiency of your home should only cost about $200 each time.
Remember what they said about the auto smog inspections when they first
started: that in California it would only cost $15. That was when the program started. Now the cost is about $50 for the inspection and certificate; a 333% increase. Expect the same from the home labeling program.
Sect. 304 Greater Energy Efficiency in Building Codes establishes new energy efficiency guidelines for the National Building Code and mandates at 304(d) that 1 year after enactment of this Act, all state and local jurisdictions must adopt the National Building Code energy efficiency provisions or must obtain a certification from the federal government that their state and/or local codes have been brought into full compliance with the National Building Code energy efficiency standards.

ALABAMA JUDGE ROY MOORE
Some of you may be wondering what Judge Roy Moore has been doing since he was removed from the bench for refusing to remove the Ten Commandments from his courtroom wall. Please read the poem he wrote below.
Judge Moore was sued by the ACLU for displaying the Ten Commandments in his courtroom foyer. He has been stripped of his judgeship and now they are trying to strip his right to practice law in Alabama! The judge's poem sums it up quite well.
America the beautiful,
or so you used to be.
Land of the Pilgrims' pride;
I'm glad they'll never see.
Babies piled in dumpsters,
Abortion on demand,
Oh, sweet land of liberty;
your house is on the sand.
Our children wander aimlessly
poisoned by cocaine
choosing to indulge their lusts,
when God has said abstain
From sea to shining sea,
our Nation turns away
From the teaching of God's love
and a need to always pray
We've kept God in our
temples, how callous we have grown.
When earth is but His footstool,
and Heaven is His throne.
We've voted in a government
that's rotting at the core,
Appointing Godless Judges;

Health Care Reform is an issue that will touch every American life. Everyone agrees that some type of reform is needed and there is much debate regarding what facets of our current health care system should be overhauled or modified. To help area citizens understand the complexity of this issue, and give voice to their concerns and ideas, the Northwoods Patriots and Vilas County Republicans are hosting a two-hour Health Care Forum. We will have a question-and-answer format, with moderator and panel of individuals representing all aspects of health care: an insured person, an insurance representative, a physician, a hospital administrator, and an economics expert.
Moderator for the event is John “Skip” McCaughn, a Deacon for Howard Young Hospital and St. Theresa's Church in Three Lakes, and former EMT for Eagle River and Conover.
Gary Fawcett, Eagle River’s “2009 Man of the Year” will represent the insured at the forum. Fawcett has a unique insight from both sides of the issue, since he also worked in finance for the Green Bay office of Aid Association for Lutherans for 15 years.
Oliver Burrows, an adjunct professor of Economics, ordained minister, and founder of www.EconomicTruth.org , a website dedicated to teaching people the truth about economics, will address the economic impact of proposed changes to the health care system.
Surgeon Dr. Pamela Galloway will represent a medical professional's viewpoint on the panel. Dr. Galloway has practiced at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield, and St. Mary's Hospital in Rhinelander. She is currently a Senatorial Candidate for Wisconsin's 29th District, running against incumbent Russ Decker.
Tim Nerenz, Ph.D., Executive Vice President of Oldenburg Group, Inc. will represent a large employer's interests and concerns in the panel discussions. The Oldenburg Group, headquartered in Milwaukee, WI, with a plant in Rhinelander, is a global manufacturer of engineered products used in lighting, defense, mining and nuclear industries. Nerenz has also recently declared his candidacy as a 2010 Libertarian Candidate for the US House of Representatives from Wisconsin's 2nd District, running against incumbent Tammy Baldwin.
A local Health Care Insurance agent will complete the panel to provide yet another viewpoint on the whole health care reform issue.
All area residents are invited to come to this non-partisan forum and bring their questions with them. This is a unique opportunity to voice your concerns, get answers to your questions, and receive input on your ideas from all sides of the health care industry.

HEALTH CARE -- UNCONSTITUTIONAL
You can skim this in about 3-5 minutes. In a nut shell, Michael Connelly, Retired U.S. Constitutional Attorney, confirms that Obamacare is totally unconstitutional and any Congressman voting for it can be held accountable, if they are notified. When held accountable, it would potentially open the flood gates of law suits against them by Republican and Conservative lawyers.
If you believe that government is way too big and this is an infringement on your rights as a citizen, email your Congressman and Senators and put them on notice that if they vote for this, it will end up in a class action suite of the people against them personally for violating the Constitution of the United States and the financial damages to them as well as losing their job will be everlasting.

They must know this to be proven guilty in a court of law, likely the Supreme Court. It may also be our only hope of defeating this legislation and having Obama impeached for backing an unconstitutional proposal of law.
If we sit back and hope for the best, it will be passed and having something repealed is a far greater feat that stopping it before it becomes law. To repeal a federal law takes 2/3 or 66% of Congress, to pass legislation takes only a majority or 51%. A BIG difference with something as controversial as this seems to be.
I believe we can stop it all from happening! Writing letters is easy. So is sending e-mail messages. We have everything to gain for ourselves and our families. We have everything to lose by not doing this. It's up to each of us to decide. Read the letter below if that will help you decide. God Bless Us All.

Well, I have done it! I have read the entire text of proposed House Bill
3200: The Affordable Health Care Choices Act of 2009.
I studied it with particular emphasis from my area of expertise, constitutional law.
I was frankly concerned that parts of the proposed law that were being discussed might be unconstitutional. In addition, what I found was far worse than what I had heard or expected.
To begin with, much of what has been said about the law and its implications is in fact true, despite what the Democrats and the media are saying. The law does provide for rationing of health care, particularly where senior citizens and other classes of citizens are involved, free health care for illegal immigrants, free abortion services, and probably forced participation in abortions by members of the medical profession.
The Bill will also eventually force private insurance companies out of business and put everyone into a government run system. All decisions about personal health care will ultimately be made by federal bureaucrats and most of them will not be health care professionals. Hospital admissions, payments to physicians, and allocations of necessary medical devices will be strictly controlled under this law.
However, as scary as all of that is, it just scratches the surface. In fact, I have concluded that this legislation really has no intention of providing affordable health care choices.
Instead it is a convenient cover for the most massive transfer of power to the Executive Branch of government that has ever occurred, or even been contemplated. If this law or a similar one is adopted, major portions of the Constitution of the United States will effectively have been forever destroyed.
The first thing to go will be the masterfully crafted balance of power between the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches of the U.S. Government.
The Congress will be transferring to the Obama Administration authority in a number of different areas over the lives of the American people and the businesses they own.
The irony is that the Congress doesn't have any authority to legislate in most of those areas to begin with.
I defy anyone to read the text of the U.S. Constitution and find any authority granted to the members of Congress to regulate health care.
This legislation also provides for access by the appointees of the Obama administration of all of your personal healthcare information, your personal financial information, and the information of your employer, physician, and hospital.
All of this is a direct violation of the specific provisions of the 4th Amendment to the Constitution protecting against unreasonable searches and seizures. You can also forget about the right to privacy. That will have been legislated into oblivion regardless of what the 3rd and 4th Amendments may provide.
If you decide not to have healthcare insurance or if you have private insurance that is not deemed "acceptable" to the "Health Choices Administrator" appointed by Obama there will be a tax imposed on you. It is called a "tax" instead of a fine because of the intent to avoid application of the due process clause of the 5th Amendment. However, that doesn't work because since there is nothing in the law that allows you to contest or appeal the imposition of the tax, it is definitely depriving someone of property without the "due process of law."
So, there are three of those pesky amendments that the far left hate so much out the original ten in the Bill of Rights that are effectively nullified by this law. It doesn't stop there though.
The 9th Amendment that provides: "The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people;"
The 10th Amendment states: "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are preserved to the States respectively, or to the people."
Under the provisions of this piece of Congressional handiwork neither the people nor the states are going to have any rights or powers at all in many areas that once were theirs to control.
This is not about health care; it is truly about seizing power and limiting people's rights.
Article 6 of the Constitution requires the members of both houses of Congress to "be bound by oath or affirmation" to support the Constitution.
If I was a member of Congress I would not be able to vote for this legislation or anything like it without feeling I was violating that sacred oath or affirmation. If I voted for it anyway I would hope the American people would hold me accountable.

As a percent of the total labor force, manufacturing employment fell below 9% in July (see chart below), the lowest level in BLS history (back to 1939).

Oddly, so did FOX News, but also did not expose this information. Still more oddly, neither need the Republican Party. This can lead one to believe that even the Republican Party has been too far infiltrated with people that do not want the Constitution to be the controlling document of Federal Government. Scary is an understatement. The only hope for American is Americans that remain faithful to Freedom and the Constitution that make that possible. We must get this information out to every Patriot of American.
I would like you to see the LINK TO #49 BELOW. The entire outline would take a month to read. The article clearly demonstrates how Socialists and Communists can and do take control of a party and a candidate to push their agenda. I had no idea that union bosses/presidents were avowed members of communist and socialist parties. Wow! By now, we all know how Obama has and is paying back the favor to labor unions. The reason I want to alert you to this is to make your group of patriots know the tactics used to steal America away from conservatives and enslave Americans. It's a valuable lesson to take heed and to prepare to fight against. You can be sure the same methods will be used to keep socialists in office under the Democratic ticket.
Here's one more note. The women in NY (Dede S.) that was supported and given $1million by the RNC and dropped out of the race is now backing the Democratic candidate and I would assume with her million bucks from the Republicans. All the more reason to be careful of the Republican Party controllers. Obviously, they will not win races with poor candidates and then give money to them to be used against them. Ironic, eh? No different than Washington collecting our tax dollars and then using them to put cronies in office on the Democratic ticket. Conservatives and so called Republicans have to be smarter since we do not have the money flowing in our court.

CHANGE OVER 40 YEARS
Scenario 1:
Jack goes quail hunting before school and then pulls into the school parking lot with his shotgun in his truck's gun rack.
1959 - Vice Principal comes over, looks at Jack's shotgun, goes to his car and gets his shotgun to show Jack.
2009 - School goes into lock down, FBI called, Jack hauled off to jail and never sees his truck or gun again. Counselors called in for traumatized students and teachers.
Scenario 2:
Johnny and Mark get into a fist fight after school.
1959 - Crowd gathers.. Mark wins. Johnny and Mark shake hands and end up buddies.
2009 - Police called and SWAT team arrives -- they arrest both Johnny and Mark. They are both charged them with assault and both expelled even though Johnny started it.
Scenario 3:
Jeffrey will not be still in class, he disrupts other students.
1959 - Jeffrey is sent to the Principal's office and given a good tongue lashing by the Principal. He then returns to class, sits still and does not disrupt class again.

1959 - Vice Principal comes over, looks at Jack's shotgun, goes to his car and gets his shotgun to show Jack.
2009 - School goes into lock down, FBI called, Jack hauled off to jail and never sees his truck or gun again. Counselors called in for traumatized students and teachers.
Scenario 2:
Johnny and Mark get into a fist fight after school.
1959 - Crowd gathers.. Mark wins. Johnny and Mark shake hands and end up buddies.
2009 - Police called and SWAT team arrives -- they arrest both Johnny and Mark. They are both charged them with assault and both expelled even though Johnny started it.
Scenario 3:
Jeffrey will not be still in class, he disrupts other students.
1959 - Jeffrey is sent to the Principal's office and given a good tongue lashing by the Principal. He then returns to class, sits still and does not disrupt class again.
2009 - Jeffrey is given huge doses of Ritalin. He becomes a zombie. He is then tested for ADD.. The school gets extra money from the state because Jeffrey has a disability.
Scenario 4:
Billy breaks a window in his neighbor's car and his Dad gives him a
whipping with his belt.
1959 - Billy is more careful next time, grows up normal, goes to college and becomes a successful businessman.
2009 - Billy's dad is arrested for child abuse. Billy is removed to foster care and joins a gang. The state psychologist is told by Billy's sister that she remembers being abused herself and their dad goes to prison. Billy's mom has an affair with the psychologist.
Scenario 5:
Mark gets a headache and takes some aspirin to school.
1959 - Mark shares his aspirin with the Principal out on the smoking dock.
2009 - The police are called and Mark is expelled from school for drug violations. His car is then searched for drugs and weapons.
Scenario 6:
Pedro fails high school English.
1959 - Pedro goes to summer school, passes English and goes to college.
2009 - Pedro's cause is taken up by state. Newspaper articles appear
nationally explaining that teaching English as a requirement for
graduation is racist. ACLU files class action lawsuit against the state school system and Pedro 's English teacher. English is then banned from core curriculum. Pedro is given his diploma anyway but ends up mowing lawns for a living because he cannot speak English.
Scenario 7:
Johnny takes apart leftover firecrackers from the Fourth of July, puts them in a model airplane paint bottle and blows up a red ant bed.
1959 - Ants die...
2009 - ATF, Homeland Security and the FBI are all called. Johnny is
charged with domestic terrorism. The FBI investigates his parents -- and all siblings are removed from their home and all computers are confiscated. Johnny's dad is placed on a terror watch list and is never allowed to fly again.
Scenario 8:
Johnny falls while running during recess and scrapes his knee. He is found crying by his teacher, Mary. Mary hugs him to comfort him.
1959 - In a short time, Johnny feels better and goes on playing.
2009 - Mary is accused of being a sexual predator and loses her job. She faces 3 years in State Prison. Johnny undergoes 5 years of therapy.

America has been blessed by You because of the hard work and sacrifice of our Founding Fathers. We confess that over the years many of us became complacent and apathetic—things were going good and we didn’t take a thorough look at our legislators or the laws that were being passed.
Until Now. A line has been crossed, and millions of Americans are now taking a stand for truth.
So we confess to you our weakness, our sin and our needs, collectively and individually. Our legislators neither represent us nor listen to their citizens; they represent special interests. The laws they propose are not Constitutional, and they seem intent on robbing this current and many future generations of our wealth which has benefited millions throughout the world. We ask that the current proposal for health care be voted down in the House and Senate in Washington DC. We need tort reform, competition for health insurance across state lines, medical savings accounts and a huge reduction in fraud. We don’t need government mandates that strangle jobs, innovation and raise taxes.
We ask that You confuse the plans of those legislators who operate behind closed doors in secret. We ask that all bad laws to be withdrawn or voted down. We ask that proposals to benefit Americans will actually be considered and voted into law, rather than be rejected in committee. We ask that Godly men and women make decisions to run for office at every level—from village to county to state to federal positions. We ask for honest elections, reduction in fraud, and that worthy candidates win elections. We ask that babies be protected in the womb. We cling to Your standard—one man and one woman constitute marriage and we accept no counterfeit. Lord, all of our religious liberties come from you, and we ask that faith in Jesus Christ does not become a crime, but a movement of revival that overtakes America. We celebrate our right to free speech and free press—may there be no hindrance in these rights.
All of our rights are blessings from You. We praise You for the Founders and their faith in You which led to blessing America and the world. Keep us focused first on You for wisdom and guidance. Give us strength and commitment to carry out the task that You have reserved for each of us individually. And may we follow through on Your will to return America to her blessed status in the world today.
