Wisconsin school district dumps common core and increases student enrollment
Political Outcast – Karen Schroeder – 6/25/2014

This will not cause financial problems for the district because Germantown did not purchase Common Core aligned texts. Once the new standards are written, the district will use current dollars budgeted for new texts to purchase curriculum that will meet the expectations of the citizens of Germantown and meet the need of the students in Germantown.

Increased use of technology will be saving the district a lot of dollars normally spent on heavy, quickly outdated textbooks. Medved stated that the district will be relying on the Chromebook, a new, faster computer textbook that is inexpensive to update.

According to Mr. Medved, the Germantown district is considering opting out of the federally aligned tests. If the district finds it cannot opt-out, it will be up to the parents to opt their children out of the testing. Germantown schools would prefer continuing using the MAPS tests to assess student progress. Germantown is working with legislators to obtain a waiver from testing and for finding alternative ways to report progress in the state report card.

You may recall that a few weeks ago, our illustrious president spoke of past presidents making prisoner swaps at the end of wars that took place on their watch, much like his swap he said convincingly. carried this quote,  “This is what happens at the end of wars,” President Barack Obama said Tuesday when he was asked about swapping American Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl for five Taliban terrorists.  "That was true for George Washington, that was true for Abraham Lincoln, that was true for FDR. That’s been true of every combat situation, that at some point, you make sure that you try to get your folks back.  And that’s the right thing to do.”

While that sounds good, let's check our historical facts-

  • the Revolutionary War ended in 1783 and Washington did not become president until 1789.
  • Lincoln was assassinated in mid April, 1865 and the war didn't end until May, the month following.
  • As for FDR, he died of a stroke before the end of WWII.
  • So there you have it, none of these presidents were in office at the ends of those wars, making it impossible for them to make any prisoner swaps.

So much for our historically illiterate president.  You would think that someone on his staff would keep him from making these foolish blunders, but speaking half truths and telling whole lies has become his pattern of speech when it comes to the American public.

Obama, Biden, Rice and Queer Foreign Policy
Freedom Outpost – Suzanne Hamner – 6/25/2014

In case you missed it, "sodomite rights" and protecting the LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender) community was one of America's "toughest foreign policy challenges," according to National Security Adviser Susan Rice. Following on the heels of Rice, Joe Biden, the occupant of the Vice President seat, it was announced that President Barack Hussein Obama has instructed US diplomats to "press for more international acceptance of gay rights." Biden's rationale for this move is that the mark of a civilized nation rests in its support of the LGBT community.

According to the Washington Times, Biden, in his speech to political leaders, stated, "[Gay Rights] are the civil rights issue of our day" and any "civilized country" should consider it a core duty to protect the LGBT community from persecution.

It's a pity our nation's leaders don't see the inhumanity in female genital mutilation, the beheading of those who refuse to follow Islam, the kidnapping and murdering of Christian girls in Nigeria, the persecution of a Christian woman and her children because of her renouncement of Islam, the brutal punishments under Sharia law or the marriage of female children to grown men. No, those things pale in comparison to the persecution suffered by the LGBT community throughout the world according to Biden and Rice. The basic human rights violations against women occurring around the world are of no consequence to these two individuals.

Biden, in his speech on Tuesday evening, highlighted the Lithuanian government's move to follow the same legislative path as Russia and its president, Vladimir Putin, in enacting laws and penalties for homosexual behavior in public. He also took issue with the ban on homosexual acts that are part of 80 countries legal system. Naturally, Biden praised the US for the direction it was taking on this issue. He contends that change is being made in America because more and more members of the LGBT community were gaining courage to stand up.

It would benefit many of Americans for the government to list what rights of the LGBT community are being violated. Obviously, these citizens have the right to free speech, freedom of religion and freedom of assembly so that's not being violated.

However, their over-zealous attempts to make the rest of America believe they do not infringes on these same rights of Americans who disagree with their stance. Just ask Colorado baker Jack Phillips about his free exercise of religion when it comes to his profession and right to conduct business.

Those who speak out against homosexual acts, not the homosexual person, are defamed and paraded as homophobic or worse. Those who worry for the immortal soul of homosexuals and potential death of homosexuals at the hands of the followers of Islam are portrayed as "calling for the death of homosexuals" and hating homosexuals. That's what has happened to Bradlee Dean when MSNBC's Rachel Maddow decided to defame his character with a twisted edit of his comments regarding Muslims and homosexuals.

And let's not forget the violation of the rights of women and female children with laws governing the use of public restroom facilities by transgender individuals enacted by some states.

684 documented examples of Obama’s lies, lawbreaking, corruption, cronyism, etc.
Freedom Outpost – Tim Brown – 6/25/2014
Editor's Note: Our friend, Dan from Squirrel Hill, has updated his list to 694 documented examples of Barack Obama's lying, lawbreaking, corruption, cronyism, etc. He began with 252 examples, then quickly grew to 504. This month he adds nearly 200 more examples of the usurper-in-chief's unlawful acts.

Every President, every politician, and every human being tells lies and engages in acts of hypocrisy. But Barack Obama does these things to a far greater degree than anyone else that I have ever known of. His campaign promises were so much better sounding than anyone else’s – no lobbyists in his administration, waiting five days before signing all non-emergency bills so people would have time to read them, putting health care negotiations on C-SPAN, reading every bill line by line to make sure money isn’t being wasted, prosecution of Wall St. criminals, ending raids against medical marijuana in states where it’s legal, high levels of transparency. Obama’s promises of these wonderful things sounded inspiring and sincere. They sounded so much better than the promises of any other President. So when Obama broke these promises, it felt so much worse than when other Presidents broke their promises.

Earlier this month, the New York Times ran a story with the unsettling headline: “War Gear Flows to Police Departments.”

With a dateline from the small Wisconsin town of Neenah, the story explained how local police departments are acquiring former combat equipment like M-16s, grenade launchers, silencers, and mine-resistant armored vehicles – often with little public notice. These tools are bolstering forces that already look a lot like military units as their SWAT teams see more and more action for increasingly tame situations.

It makes you wonder - why in the world do police in small, quiet towns of just a few thousand people need the same weapons used to fight the Taliban?

That’s a question we’ve been asking for some time now. Indeed, before mainstream outlets became widely aware of this trend, was on the ground telling the story as the shift began to occur.

Months earlier, in April, New Mexico Watchdog journalist Rob Nikolewski reported on a commercial by the Hobbs Police Department that played up law enforcement’s military tactics, featuring cops shooting guns, helmeted officers bursting into rooms, and armored vehicles. The story was picked up by the Drudge Report, and civil-liberty advocates raised concerns over whether this was the sort of message police should be sending to new recruits.
Nikolewski suspected that other small-town police departments were acting the same way (Hobbs has a population of only 35,000), and he was right. The next week, he reported in a follow-up story that the small, relatively peaceful cities of Newport BeachCalifornia and Springdale, Arkansas had produced similar commercials. reporter Dustin Hurst similarly found the police state pressing forward in Preston, Idaho, of all places. The police force for this city of only 5,000 people had recently acquired an MRAP, a military-grade vehicle previously used on the streets of Iraq and Afghanistan designed to protect soldiers from roadside bombs.

“The city’s crime checks in far below the U.S. average,” Hurst noted, “and there hasn’t been a murder there since 2006. The city’s not exactly a crime-ridden hell hole where police might need an ambush-resistant and bomb-proof troop carrier.”

Subsequent stories only confirmed this trend. In Minnesota, reporter Tom Seward found that as America scales down military action abroad, all sorts of military equipment is essentially there for the taking by local law enforcement. He cited a Department of Public Safety video that ticks off the list: armored vehicles, helicopters, handcuffs, riot shields, cranes, fuel tankers, rifles, pickups, holsters, bayonets and grenade launchers.
Militarization, Seward noted, is already well underway in Minnesota. Nearly 2,000 M-16 rifles and more than 600 M-14 rifles have been acquired by local law enforcement over the past two decades, along with 24 armored trucks, seven mine-resistant ambush protected vehicles and seven Humvee utility trucks, which will be used by SWAT teams and for rescues and other emergency operations.

Meanwhile, back in New Mexico, filed a public records request and learned that nearly 20 law enforcement agencies across the state — from the biggest city to some of the smallest — have received MRAPs. Perhaps most absurd of all, that list of agencies included the campus police department at New Mexico State University!
It isn’t just with military-grade equipment that local police are ramping up their capabilities. technology reporter Josh Peterson has found that they are also adopting the latest surveillance technologies. Police in Florida, for instance, can track the location of a suspect’s cell phone without a warrant.

We have no intention of letting this story fall by the wayside. When civil liberties are threatened by government pushing the limits of its powers, will be there to give citizens the facts about what is happening – before it’s too late.

Stone Cold Proof that Government economic numbers are being highly manipulated
Freedom Outpost – Michael Snyder – 6/25/2014

Over at, John Williams publishes alternative economic statistics that he believes are much more realistic than the government numbers. According to his figures, the U.S. economy has actually been continually contracting since 2005. That would mean that we have been in a recession for the last nine years.

Right now, the Federal Reserve tells us that the inflation rate is sitting at about 2 percent.

But according to John Williams, if the inflation rate was calculated the same way that it was in 1990 it would be nearly 6 percent.

And if the inflation rate was calculated the same way that it was in 1980 it would be nearly 10 percent.

But according to, the broadest measure of unemployment is well over 20 percent and has kept rising since the end of the last recession.

And according to the Federal Reserve's own numbers, the percentage of working age Americans with a job has barely increased over the past four years...

Leading pro-life activist Gary Bauer, the former presidential candidate who is now the head of the group American Values, says President Barack Obama will have a terrifying legacy once he leaves office: more babies aborted than jobs created.

“This ought to be the epitaph of this administration: In the last five years under this president more babies have been aborted than jobs have been created,” Bauer said on Friday at the Faith and Freedom Coalition’s Road to Majority conference in Washington, D.C.

“Now that is a good summary of this president,” said Bauer, who is president of the nonprofit American Values. “Few things make Barack Obama more passionate than abortion on demand.”

Were the United States originally established Christian – ON THE STATE LEVEL?
Freedom Outpost –  William Federer – 6/21/2014

Examining the acknowledgements of religion in the State Constitutions at the time those States ratified the U.S. Constitution could give the answer.

DELAWARE, the first State to ratify the U.S. Constitution, stated in its 1776 State Constitution:
"Every person...appointed to any office...shall...subscribe...

'I...profess faith in GOD THE FATHER, and in JESUS CHRIST His only Son, and in the HOLY GHOST, one God, blessed for evermore; and I do acknowledge the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testament to be given by Divine inspiration.'"

PENNSYLVANIA, the second State to ratify the U.S. Constitution, stated in its 1776 State Constitution, signed by Ben Franklin:
"Each member, before he takes his seat, shall...subscribe...

'I do believe in one GOD, the Creator and Governor of the Universe, the Rewarder of the good and the Punisher of the wicked. And I do acknowledge the Scriptures of the Old and New Testament to be given by Divine Inspiration.'"

NEW JERSEY, the third State to ratify the U.S. Constitution, stated in its 1776 State Constitution:
"All persons, professing a belief in the faith of any PROTESTANT sect, who shall demean themselves peaceably under the government...shall be capable of being elected."

GEORGIA, the fourth State to ratify the U.S. Constitution, stated in its 1777 State Constitution:

"Representatives shall be chosen out of the residents in each county...and they shall be of the PROTESTANT religion."

CONNECTICUT, the fifth State to ratify the U.S. Constitution, retained its 1662 Colonial Constitution, which was established PROTESTANT CONGREGATIONAL, till 1818:
"By the Providence of GOD...having from their ancestors derived a free and excellent Constitution...whereby the legislature depends on the free and annual election...The free fruition of such liberties and privileges as humanity, civility and CHRISTIANITY call for."

MASSACHUSETTS, the sixth State to ratify the U.S. Constitution, stated in its 1780 State Constitution, written by John Adams:
"Any person...before he...execute the duties of[shall] subscribe...'I...declare, that I believe the CHRISTIAN religion, and have a firm persuasion of its truth'...

The legislature shall...authorize the support and maintenance of public PROTESTANT teachers of piety, religion and morality."

MARYLAND, the seventh State to ratify the U.S. Constitution, stated in its 1776 State Constitution:

"No other test...ought to be required, on admission to any office...than such oath of support and fidelity to this State...and a declaration of a belief in the CHRISTIAN religion."

SOUTH CAROLINA, the eighth State to ratify the U.S. Constitution, stated in its 1778 State Constitution:
"No person shall be eligible to a seat...unless he be of the PROTESTANT religion...The CHRISTIAN PROTESTANT religion shall be deemed...the established religion of this State."

NEW HAMPSHIRE, the ninth State to ratify the U.S. Constitution, stated in its 1784 State Constitution:
"No person shall be capable of being elected...who is not of the PROTESTANT religion."

VIRGINIA, the tenth State to ratify the U.S. Constitution, stated in its 1776 State Constitution, Bill of Rights, written with the help of James Madison and George Mason:
"It is the mutual duty of all to practice CHRISTIAN forbearance, love, and charity towards each other."

NEW YORK, the eleventh State to ratify the U.S. Constitution, stated in its 1777 State Constitution:
"The United American States...declare...

'Laws of nature and of NATURE'S GOD...All men are created equal; that they are endowed by their CREATOR with certain unalienable rights...Appealing to the SUPREME JUDGE of the world...A firm reliance on the protection of DIVINE PROVIDENCE'...

People of this State, ordain...the free exercise and enjoyment of religious profession and worship, without discrimination...

Provided, That the liberty of conscience, hereby granted, shall not be so construed as to excuse acts of licentiousness."

NORTH CAROLINA, the twelfth State to ratify the U.S. Constitution, stated in its 1776 State Constitution:
"No person, who shall deny the being of GOD or the truth of the PROTESTANT religion, or the Divine authority either of the Old or New Testaments, or who shall hold religious principles incompatible with the freedom and safety of the State, shall be capable of"

RHODE ISLAND, the thirteenth State to ratify the U.S. Constitution, retained its 1663 Colonial Constitution till 1843, which stated:
"By the blessing of God...a full liberty in religious concernements...rightly grounded upon GOSPEL principles, will give the best and greatest the true CHRISTIAN faith and worship of God...They may...defend themselves, in their just rights and liberties against all the enemies of the CHRISTIAN faith."

The Journal of the U.S. House recorded that on March 27, 1854, the 33rd Congress voted unanimously to print Rep. James Meacham's report, which stated:

"At the adoption of the Constitution, we believe every State - certainly 10 of the 13 - provided as regularly for the support of the Church as for the support of the Government...

Down to the Revolution, every colony did sustain religion in some form. It was deemed peculiarly proper that the religion of liberty should be upheld by a free people...

Had the people, during the Revolution, had a suspicion of any attempt to war against Christianity, that Revolution would have been strangled in its cradle."

The answers to the problems we are facing on marriage and every other issue, ultimately do not rest in politicians, political parties, pundits, power-brokers or in any organization. They rest in God. Bluntly, we need to hear from God, the Creator of male and female and the Author of marriage and family.

Prayer is essential: "In everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving,  let your requests be made known to God." (Philippians 4:6)

Wisconsin Family Council, in humility and deep concern, has called for a Statewide Day of Prayer and Fasting for Wisconsin and Marriage.

This special Day is tomorrow, Thursday, June 19, 2014.

We hope you, your family and friends, maybe your church will spend some very focused time praying for our state and for the institution of marriage in our state.

Marriage is the cornerstone and family is the foundation of our state and our entire society.  It should not surprise us that it is under direct attack by Satan. If marriage and family can be obliterated by experimentation and redefinition to become something meaningless because it is shaped in man's image and not God's image, then just about anything can happen in a society/culture.

Federal Judge Barbara Crabb's June 6 ruling in which she declared Wisconsin's voter-approved Marriage Protection Amendment unconstitutional precipitated this Day of Prayer & Fasting.  But our prayers should go beyond praying about this ruling.  (By the way, it happens that our Wisconsin Day of Prayer and Fasting for our state and marriage coincides with the national-level March for Marriage, organized by our friends at National Organization for Marriage.  Much prayer will be offered during this event as well.)

Following are some things to pray for:
  • Wisdom for the attorneys working to defend WI's Marriage Protection Amendment (Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen and his staff)
  • 7th Circuit Court of Appeals judges who will hear the appeal of Judge Crabb's ruling (interestingly, we now know which 3 judges on the 7th Circuit will hear this case--and 2 of the three are known to be very liberal.  God IS in control!)
  • Your own marriage
  • Marriages in your family, your church, your community
  • Courage and real understanding on the part of elected officials and candidates on the issue. That they would not be afraid to stand up for one-man/one-woman marriage; that they would understand the unique contribution this institution brings to society
  • Fathers and mothers as they parent
  • Young people as they deal with sexual purity and marriage
  • Pastors and ministry leaders to have wisdom in dealing with this issue; that they would have the courage to deal with the redefinition of marriage from the pulpit and the teaching podiums.
  • Those taken captive by lies and who have become ensnared in homosexuality or any other sexual immorality
  • For God's mercy on our state and nation
  • Revival among Christians. Perhaps we need a Third Great Awakening?
Remember: God is sovereign. He bids us, finite man, to come to Him, the Supreme Judge of the Universe, with our prayers and petitions.  What a blessing!  It is always, always, always too soon to quit! Having done ALL, we STAND!

May God richly bless you and your family as you STAND faithfully, in love, for the Truth.

Bid-rigging lawsuit throws $240M-a-year Common Core testing contract into limbo
Fox News – Perry Chiaramonte – 6/18/2014

Pearson, the largest company in standardized testing, stands to take in as much as $240 million per year if it secures a contract to administer testing of millions of students. But the contract has been stalled by a New Mexico judge after a rival company complained the bidding process was set up to ensure Pearson won.

“The procurement for PARCC Operational Assessments is fundamentally flawed in several critical ways,” reads a summary from AIR’s January filing. AIR claims it could not develop testing materials because it did not have access to necessary information, which PARCC gave only to Pearson.

Under the contract, Pearson would charge $24 per student, and would test between 5.5 million and 10 million students per year.

Is America's Fall Inevitable?
Eagle Rising – Michael Reisig – 6/17/2014

Truth is told in the entire article - here's just two paragraphs.

No nation can stand strong without integrity and the deep abiding respect of its people. In just 30 years we have destroyed nationalism in this country. We have sold our way of life – the foundations of morality, religion, and virtue – to accommodate and glorify ethnicity and religious creeds from lands that had absolutely no significant contact with America in its first 300 years. Even worse, we are becoming a land of faithless clones with their hands continually out, demanding more, giving less. The loudest voices are being appeased at the cost of the majority. We’ve sacrificed our position as the world’s greatest manufacturer (and the millions of jobs that went with that) for cheap flat screen TVs, cell phones, and computers. And the great “breadbasket” that we used to be, is filled with a new kind of weevils – incredibly dangerous additives we add to breads, inject into our beef and pork, and spray on our vegetables and fruits – all in the name of more production and more money, and all with the back room blessings of the FDA and its harlots in Congress. The individual farmer is going the way of the Dodo Bird, and small towns, founded on hard work and integrity are drying up.

What took Rome several hundred years, we have managed in less than 75 – the dissolution of a society, and the eminent collapse of a nation – all thanks to blind, politically correct hysteria combined with a new sense of national gluttony, and the indulgence of the most corrupt government in the history of this nation.

Input sought from public for Pines’ health classes

In March, the Vilas County News-Review published a survey that had been distributed to students in health class at Northland Pines, asking teens to discuss with their parents the child’s feelings about engaging in risky sexual behavior. Many adults had concerns about some questions.

In April, the Northwoods Patriots hosted Julaine Appling of the Wisconsin Family Council to explain the Wisconsin state statute regarding the human growth and development (HGD) curriculum. Since 2012, all K-12 schools in Wisconsin are bound by State Statute 118.019.

The statute specifically identifies 7 instructional topics that include:  Abstinence as the only reliable way to prevent pregnancy and STD’s,  medically accurate information about human papilloma virus (HPV), HIV and AIDS, pregnancy, prenatal development and childbirth, parental responsibility and the socio-economic benefits of marriage, abstinence as the preferred choice of behavior for non-married students, criminal penalties for engaging in sexual activity involving a child and sex offender registration requirements.

The statute requires the school board on an annual basis provide parents of each pupil enrolled in the school district with an outline of the human growth and development curriculum used in the pupil’s grade level and information regarding how the parent may inspect the complete curriculum and instructional materials.  In addition, the curriculum and instructional materials must be made available for inspection at any time upon request.

Students can be exempted from HGD instruction if the student’s parent files a written request with the teacher or school principal.

In addition, this statute requires that any school district that offers a HGD curriculum must appoint an advisory committee composed of parents, teachers, school administrators, pupils, health care professionals, members of the clergy and other residents of the school district to advise the school board on the design and implementation of the curriculum.

Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction:  Section 2: State Statutes 2

The first meeting for the Northland Pines committee is scheduled for June 24 and I will be on that committee, participating as a local resident, and would like to be your voice for the entire committee.
Please contact me if you have concerns about what had been taught at Northland Pines this past year. In addition, please send me your suggestions for future health classes at Northland Pines. My address and phone number are in the telephone book.

Reading, Writing, Recreational Sex - The New Curriculum

Parents are having problems with trusting public schools as safe havens for their cihldren

In recent years, the news has been flooded with more and more stories of sex infiltrating our schools. The stories range from those about questionable sex education curriculum to teachers having inappropriate relationships with students.

Since when is it up to schools to do that? Now they want to dictate what parents and their children talk about regarding personal relationships? Who gets to decide what “dating expectations” are for any given age group?

Snowden documents reveal how the NSA turns your selfie into a mugshot
Freedom Outpost – Susanne Posei – 6/9/2014

Media is reporting that documents provided by Edward Snowden show the National Security Agency (NSA) are in the process of collecting “millions of images intercepted from global communications for a facial-recognition programs to identify and track intelligence targets.”

These images are being siphoned from “emails, text messages, social media, videoconferences, and other communications.”

The Next Generation Identification (NGI) program has been using a massive biometric database which is slated to replace Integrated Automated Fingerprint Identification System (IAFIS) which collaborates with “state of the art biometric identification services”.

The EFF explains that the NGI “builds on the FBI’s legacy fingerprint database—which already contains well over 100 million individual records—and has been designed to include multiple forms of biometric data, including palm prints and iris scans in addition to fingerprints and face recognition data. NGI combines all these forms of data in each individual’s file, linking them to personal and biographic data like name, home address, ID number, immigration status, age, race, etc. This immense database is shared with other federal agencies and with the approximately 18,000 tribal, state and local law enforcement agencies across the United States.”

Founding Fathers on Economics, Capitalism and Banking
Freedom Outpost – Michael Snyder – 6/10/2014

Most people are under the illusion that the United States has a "capitalist economy" today, but that simply is not accurate. At best, we have a "mixed economy" that is becoming a little bit more socialist with each passing day. We pay dozens of different types of taxes each year, and some Americans actually end up giving more of their earnings to the government than they keep themselves. But that is still not enough, and so our state governments have accumulated astounding amounts of debt, and our federal government has amassed the largest single debt that the world has ever seen. If future generations of Americans get the chance, they will curse us for the chains of debt that we have placed upon their shoulders.

So what do our government officials do with all of this money?

Well, today approximately 70 percent of all federal government activity involves taking money from some Americans and giving it to other Americans.

Despite this unprecedented wealth-redistribution program, poverty is absolutely exploding in this country and 49 million Americans are dealing with food insecurity.

Meanwhile, the bankers have been getting fabulously wealthy from all of this debt. The Federal Reserve system was designed to trap the U.S. government in an endless spiral of debt from which it could never possibly escape, and that mission has been accomplished.

Most people like to think of big banks as "capitalist" institutions, but that is not really accurate. In the end, giant corporate banks like we have in the United States are actually collectivist institutions. They tend to greatly concentrate wealth and power, and socialists find those kinds of banks very useful.

In fact, Vladimir Lenin once said that "without big banks, socialism would be impossible."

Obama Admin Wasn’t the only One behind the IRS Targeting of Tea Party Groups - Complaint Claims US Senators as Complicit
Freedom Outpost - Tim Brown  6/10/2014

On Monday the Center for Competitive Politics filed a complaint with the Senate Select Committee on Ethics against nine U.S. senators: for interfering with IRS tax proceedings; for misusing official resources for campaign purposes; and for improper conduct that reflects poorly upon the Senate. Attempting to use the IRS to advance a partisan, electoral agenda is a fundamental assault on good government. We believe these elected officials have staged such an assault.

The complaint documents how the senators improperly interfered with IRS adjudications to further their party's electoral prospects. They pressured the IRS to undertake income-tax investigations of specific organizations, to find that specific organizations were in violation of the law, to reach predetermined results pertaining to pending applications by individual organizations for nonprofit status, and to adopt specific regulatory interpretations and policies to further their campaign goals.

Understand that Democrats had attempted to silence their opposition through legislation. When that didn't work, they started interfering in another branch of government to get them to do their bidding. While they can question those agencies, they are definitely violating ethics by attempting to impose themselves in the middle of tax exemption status of American groups, be they conservative or liberal. But according to the complaint, they were not just imposing themselves, they were actually calling for investigations and seeking to prosecute conservative organizations.

This isn't policy friends. This is criminal activity. It's tyranny.

A conundrum....very strange
The definition of the word Conundrum is: something that is puzzling or confusing.

Here are six Conundrums of socialism in the United States of America:

1. America is capitalist and greedy - yet half of the population is subsidized.

2. Half of the population is subsidized - yet they think they are victims.

3. They think they are victims - yet their representatives run the government.

4. Their representatives run the government - yet the poor keep getting poorer.

5. The poor keep getting poorer - yet they have things that people in other countries only dream about.

6. They have things that people in other countries only dream about - yet they want America to be more like those other countries.

Think about it! And that, my friends, pretty much sums up the USA in the 21st Century.

Makes you wonder who is doing the math.

These three, short sentences tell you a lot about the direction of our current government and cultural environment:

1. We are advised to NOT judge ALL Muslims by the actions of a few lunatics, but we are encouraged to judge ALL gun owners by the actions of a few lunatics.

2. Seems we constantly hear about how Social Security is going to run out of money. How come we never hear about welfare or food stamps running out of money? What's interesting is the first group "worked for" their money, but the second didn't. Think about it.....
3. Why are we cutting benefits for our veterans, no pay raises for our military and cutting our army to a level lower than before WWII, but we are not stopping the payments or benefits to illegal aliens.

Tough week for the Common Core
NPRED – Anya Kamenetz – 6/9/2014

What has seemed most troubling for critics of the Core, and of the influence of large philanthropies in U.S. policy generally, is the close association between the Gates Foundation and the U.S. Department of Education under the Obama administration. The Common Core are not, strictly speaking, national standards. They were developed independently of the federal government, and states are not under a mandate to adopt them. But the standards received a big boost in the form of funding incentives from the Obama administration.

Behind the alignment of interests, the Post article noted several close ties: Margot Rogers, who was Education Secretary Arne Duncan's chief of staff, and James Shelton, now a deputy secretary, both came directly from the foundation. The administration waived ethics rules to allow the two of them to consult closely with former colleagues. And Chicago received $20 million in Gates funding to reorganize schools while Duncan was that district's CEO before leaving for his Cabinet position.

They were adopted with little public debate. And their implementation, as we've reported, has been plagued with criticisms: notably that they are top-down, rushed and underfunded so far.

Always make your opponent defend their record / belief system – Steve Deace – 5/29/2014
The following is an excerpt from the new book “Rules for Patriots: How Conservatives Can Win Again.”

This is one of the most intelligent debates you'll never year.  So READ IT!

Your Republican champion is ready to take on a notoriously liberal member of the mainstream media, who is a Democrat talking-point regurgitator masquerading as an objective journalist.

veyard,” because so many conservatives have gone there to die in the past that grassroots patriots wonder why Republicans even agree to do it at all anymore. “Keith” is snotty, snarky, and worst of all, smart. Like wickedly smart. The kind of guy you wish was on your side.

He’s also not known for exchanging pleasantries, and goes right for the throat with his very first question.

“Mr. Republican, you have been critical of Democrats calling for more policies to help the poor and downtrodden in our abundantly wealthy society, saying they are too expensive and taxpayers shouldn’t be asked to shoulder such a burden,” he says. “It’s easy for those who are well off like you to focus first on their own needs, and not the needs of others, but I believe I am my brother’s keeper. You claim to be a Christian, so isn’t it the moral thing to care for the less fortunate? Surely, in a country as wealthy as ours there is no excuse for poverty. Instead of tax cuts for the rich, shouldn’t we put others less fortunate first?”
