IS AMERICA REALLY THIS STUPID?

This is Canada's Top Ten List of America's Stupidity

Number 10 Only in America could  politicians talk about the greed of the rich at a $35,000.00  per plate Obama campaign fund-raising event.

Number 9 Only in America  ...could people claim that the government still  discriminates against black Americans when they have a   black President, a black Attorney General and roughly 20% of  the federal workforce is black while only 14% of the  population is black 40+% of all federal entitlements goes to  black Americans - 3X the rate that go to whites, 5X the rate  that go to Hispanics!

Number 8  Only in America...could  they have had the two people most responsible for our tax  code, Timothy Geithner (the head of the Treasury Department)  and Charles Rangel (who once ran the Ways and Means  Committee), BOTH turn out to be tax cheats who are in favor  of higher taxes.

Number 7 Only in America...can they  have terrorists kill people in the name of Allah and have  the media primarily react by fretting that Muslims might be  harmed by the backlash.

Number 6 Only in America...would they  make people who want to legally become American citizens  wait for years in their home countries and pay tens of  thousands of dollars for the privilege, while they discuss  letting anyone who sneaks into the country illegally just  'magically'  become American citizens (probably should  be number one).

Number 5  Only in America....could  the people who believe in balancing the budget and sticking  by the country's Constitution be thought of as   EXTREMIST’S.

Number 4 Only in America...could yoU  need to present a driver's license to cash a check or buy  alcohol, but not to vote.

Number 3  Only in America...could  people demand the government investigate whether oil  companies are gouging the public because the price of gas  went up when the return on equity invested in a major U.S.  Oil company(Marathon Oil) is less than half of a company  making tennis shoes (Nike).

Number 2  Only in America... could  you collect more tax dollars from the people than any nation  in recorded history, still spend a Trillion dollars more  than it has per year - for total spending of $7-Million PER  MINUTE, and complain that it doesn't have nearly enough  money.

And Number 1 Only in America...could  the rich people- who pay 86% of all income taxes – be  accused of not paying their "fair share" by people who don't  pay any income taxes at all.

MISSOURI PRIMARY - WILL THE RNC IGNORE OR INVESTIGATE TO FIND THE TRUTH?

When fair and free elections are at stake
Tea Party Patriots – 7/9/2014

The bedrock of democracy and a free society is the assurance of fair elections. It’s not entirely clear yet what went on during those last few weeks of campaigning in Mississippi. But what we do know is that there is enough evidence to indicate the election was anything but fair.

We believe the RNC should take accusations of misconduct seriously, for the sake of the conservative movement and more broadly, for the sake of democracy. No one is asking for the RNC to take sides or throw stones, but in a society that claims to value truth and honesty, any kind of election wrongdoing cannot go ignored. We applaud Martin and Cruz for speaking out already, and hope others will join them.  Fair and free elections after all, are at stake.

VOTER FRAUD: EASY - PROVEN - SO WHY ISN'T IT PROSECUTED

Voter Fraud:  We've got proof it's easy
http://watchdog.org/123576/voter-fraud/
WatchDog.org - John Fund -  National Review Online - 1/14/2014

Liberals who oppose efforts to prevent voter fraud claim that there is no fraud — or at least not any that involves voting in person at the polls.

But New York City’s watchdog Department of Investigations has just provided the latest evidence of how easy it is to commit voter fraud that is almost undetectable.

DOI undercover agents showed up at 63 polling places last fall and pretended to be voters who should have been turned away by election officials; the agents assumed the names of individuals who had died or moved out of town, or who were sitting in jail. In 61 instances, or 97 percent of the time, the testers were allowed to vote. Those who did vote cast only a write-in vote for a “John Test” so as to not affect the outcome of any contest. DOI published its findings two weeks ago in a searing 70-page report accusing the city’s Board of Elections of incompetence, waste, nepotism, and lax procedures.

The Board of Elections, which has a $750 million annual budget and a workforce of 350 people, reacted in classic bureaucratic fashion, which prompted one city paper to deride it as “a 21st-century survivor of Boss Tweed–style politics.” The Board approved a resolution referring the DOI’s investigators for prosecution. It also asked the state’s attorney general to determine whether DOI had violated the civil rights of voters who had moved or are felons, and it sent a letter of complaint to Mayor Bill de Blasio.

Normally, I wouldn’t think de Blasio would give the BOE the time of day, but New York’s new mayor has long been a close ally of former leaders of ACORN, the now-disgraced “community organizing” group that saw its employees convicted of voter-registration fraud all over the country during and after the 2008 election.

Greg Soumas, president of New York’s BOE, offered a justification for calling in the prosecutors: “If something was done in an untoward fashion, it was only done by DOI. We (are) unaware of any color of authority on the part of (DOI) to vote in the identity of any person other than themselves — and our reading of the election law is that such an act constitutes a felony.”

The Board is bipartisan, and all but two of its members voted with Soumas. The sole exceptions were Democrat Jose Araujo, who abstained because the DOI report implicated him in hiring his wife and sister-and-law for Board jobs, and Republican Simon Shamoun.

Good-government groups are gobsmacked at Soumas’s refusal to smell the stench of corruption in his patronage-riddled empire.

“They should focus not on assigning blame to others, but on taking responsibility for solving the problems themselves,” Dick Dadey of the watchdog group Citizens Union told the Daily News. “It’s a case of the Board of Elections passing the buck.”

DOI officials respond that the use of undercover agents is routine in anti-corruption probes and that people should carefully read the 70-page report they’ve filed before criticizing it. They are surprised how little media attention their report has received.

You’d think more media outlets would have been interested, because the sloppiness revealed in the DOI report is mind-boggling.

Young undercover agents were able to vote using the names of people three times their age, people who in fact were dead. In one example, a 24-year female agent gave the name of someone who had died in 2012 at age 87; the workers at the Manhattan polling site gave her a ballot, no questions asked.

Even the two cases where poll workers turned away an investigator raise eyebrows. In the first case, a poll worker on Staten Island walked outside with the undercover investigator who had just been refused a ballot; the “voter” was advised to go to the polling place near where he used to live and “play dumb” in order to vote. In the second case, the investigator was stopped from voting only because the felon whose name he was using was the son of the election official at the polling place.

Shooting the messenger has been a typical reaction in other states when people have demonstrated just how easy it is to commit voter fraud.

Guerrilla videographer James O’Keefe had three of his assistants visit precincts during New Hampshire’s January 2012 presidential primary. They asked poll workers whether their books listed the names of several voters, all deceased individuals still listed on voter-registration rolls. Poll workers handed out 10 ballots, never once asking for a photo ID.

O’Keefe’s team immediately gave back the ballots, unmarked, to precinct workers. Debbie Lane, a ballot inspector at one of the Manchester polling sites, later said: “I wasn’t sure what I was allowed to do. …  I can’t tell someone not to vote, I suppose.”

The only precinct in which O’Keefe or his crew did not obtain a ballot was one in which the local precinct officer had personally known the dead “voter.”

New Hampshire’s Democratic Gov. John Lynch sputtered when asked about O’Keefe’s video, and he condemned the effort to test the election system even though no actual votes were cast.
“They should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, if in fact they’re found guilty of some criminal act,” he roared.

But cooler heads eventually prevailed, and the GOP Legislature later approved a voter-ID bill, with enough votes to override the governor’s veto. Despite an exhaustive and intrusive investigation, no charges were filed against any of O’Keefe’s associates.

Later in 2012, in Washington, D.C., one of O’Keefe’s assistants was able to obtain Attorney General Eric Holder’s ballot even though Holder is 62 years old and bears no resemblance to the 22-year-old white man who obtained it merely by asking if Eric Holder was on the rolls.

But the Department of Justice, which is suing Texas to block that state’s photo-ID law, dismissed the Holder ballot incident as “manufactured.” The irony was lost on the DOJ that Holder, a staunch opponent of voter-ID laws, himself could have been disenfranchised by a white man because Washington, D.C., has no voter-ID law. Polls consistently show that more than 70 percent of Americans — including clear majorities of African-Americans and Hispanics — support such laws.

Liberals who oppose ballot-security measures claim that there are few prosecutions for voter fraud, which they take to mean that fraud doesn’t happen. But as the New York DOI report demonstrates, it is comically easy, given the sloppy-voter registration records often kept in America, to commit voter fraud in person. (A 2012 study by the Pew Research Center found that nationwide, at least 1.8 million deceased voters still are registered to vote.) And unless someone confesses, in-person voter fraud is very difficult to detect — or stop.

New York’s Gothamist news service reported last September that four poll workers in Brooklyn reported they believed people were trying to vote in the name of other registered voters. Police officers observed the problems but did nothing because voter fraud isn’t under the police department’s purview.

What the DOI investigators were able to do was eerily similar to actual fraud that has occurred in New York before. In 1984, Brooklyn’s Democratic district attorney, Elizabeth Holtzman, released a state grand-jury report on a successful 14-year conspiracy that cast thousands of fraudulent votes in local, state and congressional elections. Just like the DOI undercover operatives, the conspirators cast votes at precincts in the names of dead, moved and bogus voters. The grand jury recommended voter ID, a basic election-integrity measure that New York steadfastly has refused to implement.

In states where non-photo ID is required, it’s also all too easy to manufacture records that allow people to vote. In 2012, the son of Congressman Jim Moran, the Democrat who represents Virginia’s Washington suburbs, had to resign as field director for his father’s campaign after it became clear that he had encouraged voter fraud. Patrick Moran was caught advising an O’Keefe videographer on how to commit in-person voter fraud. The scheme involved using a personal computer to forge utility bills that would satisfy Virginia’s voter-ID law and then relying on the assistance of Democratic lawyers stationed at the polls to make sure the fraudulent votes were counted. Last year, Virginia tightened its voter-ID law and ruled that showing a utility bill was no longer sufficient to obtain a ballot.

Given that someone who is dead, is in jail, or has moved isn’t likely to complain if someone votes in his name, how do we know that voter fraud at the polls isn’t a problem? An ounce of prevention — in the form of voter ID and better training of poll workers — should be among the minimum precautions taken to prevent an electoral miscarriage or meltdown in a close race.

After all, even a small number of votes can have sweeping consequences. Al Franken’s 312-vote victory in 2008 over Minnesota U.S. Sen. Norm Coleman gave Democrats a filibuster-proof Senate majority of 60 votes, which allowed them to pass Obamacare. Months after the Obamacare vote, a conservative group called Minnesota Majority finished comparing criminal records with voting rolls and identified 1,099 felons — all ineligible to vote — who had voted in the Franken–Coleman race. Fox News random interviews with 10 of those felons found that nine had voted for Franken, backing up national academic studies that show felons tend to vote strongly for Democrats.Minnesota Majority took its findings to prosecutors across the state, but very few showed any interest in pursuing the issue. Some did, though, and 177 people have been convicted as of mid 2012 — not just “accused” but actually convicted — of voting fraudulently in the Senate race. Probably the only reason the number of convictions isn’t higher is that the standard for convicting someone of voter fraud in Minnesota is that the person must have been both ineligible and must have “knowingly” voted unlawfully.

Anyone accused of fraud is apt to get off by claiming he didn’t know he’d done anything wrong.Given that we now know for certain how easy it is to commit undetectable voter fraud and how serious the consequences can be, it’s truly bizarre to have officials at the New York City Board of Elections and elsewhere savage those who shine a light on the fact that their modus operandi invites fraud. One might even think that they’re covering up their incompetence or that they don’t want to pay attention to what crimes could be occurring behind the curtains at their polling places. Or both.

DEMOCRAT DETAILS DEMOCRATIC ELECTION FRAUD

DEMOCRAT DETAILS DEMOCRATIC ELECTION FRAUD

For those who don’t believe in election fraud
American Thinker – Jack Cashill – 9/24/2013

"Yes, the Rizzo-Royster race turned on vote fraud," admitted the Kansas City Star's Barbara Shelly in a crow-eating column nearly three years after it would do any good. For years the Star has routinely mocked anyone who dared suggest vote fraud was a problem.

Among those mocked was Will Royster, a retired Navy fighter pilot who seemingly lost in a northeast Kansas City Democratic primary for state representative in 2010 by the final count of one single vote. The seeming victor, endorsed by the Star, was neophyte J.J. Rizzo, the son of Democratic machine honcho, Henry Rizzo.

What follows is a letter from a young Democrat named Nick Moreno who observed the process up close. The letter details the various tools Democrats use to steal elections and kill would-be Democratic reformers in the womb. It is edited only for length and clarity.

ELECTION FRAUD - REGISTRATIONS AND VOTING IN TWO STATES

Election watchdog hands FL 173 cases of alleged voter fraud
WatchDog.org – William Patrick – 8/14/2013

The group used updated 2012 voting data to cross-reference Florida and Maryland registration lists. Maryland is the latest state under review in what Churchwell described as the “snow bird” project.

Using names, dates of birth, residential addresses and federal voting information, True the Vote has already identified potential double voting abuses in Florida by way of Ohio (534 cases), New York (32) and Rhode Island (2), as of October last year.
True the Vote submits its findings to the U.S. Department of Justice and state elections officials for further investigation.

The report highlighted several clear violations and the rise of absentee ballot voting in general in Miami-Dade County — 27 percent of the total 885,067 votes in November, as opposed to 7 percent in 2000.

True the Vote’s recent findings show the highest instances of absentee ballot interstate fraud occurring in Escambia, Clay, Duval, Pinellas and Volusia counties.
According to Pew Research, 2.75 million Americans were registered to vote in more than one state last year. But that does not mean they committed fraud

VOTER SUPPRESSION, THE IRS, AND AMERICA

The IRS suppressed the Romney Vote
Rush Limbaugh – 5/22013

So this partisan attack on Tea Party and other conservative groups concerning tax-exempt status is still going on.  There are groups who have applications in, and they're just languishing, no action has been taken.  So the IRS doesn't have to flat-out deny you your status.  They can just delay the approval.  So you're sitting out there in limbo.  And that is continuing to happen.  And the upshot of it is that a lot of Tea Party money was never raised, and therefore was never spent on this campaign.  A lot of Tea Party enthusiasm was tamped down.  A lot of religious Tea Party groups never got into gear. They were never authorized to. They were never authorized to start.  They needed to be able to fund-raise in a tax-exempt way in order to get starts and they weren't.

There is no question about it now.  That's what this is all about.  There was a flat-out effort to suppress the conservative vote in this election while everybody was listening to the allegation that conservatives wanted to suppress the black vote or the gay vote, all the attention focused on photo ID, to be able to vote.  The Democrats, "That's racism. That's an effort to suppress the black vote."  You remember all during that campaign the Democrats worried about Republican vote fraud and suppressing the vote.  Well, where it really happened was the government, the IRS, another political arm of the Obama regime literally suppressing conservative voting, fundraising, and turnout.

So the election's over, we're analyzing it, talking about this, "What happened to the 2010 turnout?"  Now we know, folks, now we know.  The Democrats did take note of what happened to 'em in 2010.  They did take note of what the Tea Party did, and by God, they made sure they weren't gonna be able to do it in 2012, and they did.

CALLER:  My question is this.  If we take Barack Obama at his word and all the people that are underneath him at their word, my question is, who's running this country?  We have many scandals going on here.  We have the Fast and Furious, Benghazi, IRS, and the list goes on and on, the AP and so on, so forth, and then you have Barack Obama, the number one most powerful man in the world, and he has all these people underneath him, from Eric Holder, Hillary Clinton, Susan Rice, Jay Carney, Joe Biden, Leon Panetta, Lois Lerner, and on and on and on, and yet when they're asked questions they're like, "I don't know. I haven't heard anything," and then our president gets on national TV and broadcasts to the people: "Well, I get my news from the same place you do.  I just heard about this last week over on the mainstream media."  So if our president is as uninformed as he claims to be, who's running this country?

VOTERS – GET YOUR STATE-ISSUED VOTER ID BEFORE YOU VOTE

Voter ID laws do not equal minority voter suppression
Last Resistance – Frank Camp – 3/28/2013

According to Liberal activists, voter identification laws amount to voter suppression. They believe—rather, claim to believe—that requiring photo identification in order to vote is intentionally discriminatory towards minority communities—because apparently, minorities don’t know where the DMV is.

In order to counteract that absurd notion, the Virginia legislation includes a provision that if you are a registered voter who lacks a valid ID, the state will provide you with one.

All of the weapons that the Democrats have in this fight: minority suppression, elder suppression, and poor folks unable to obtain IDs, have been dismantled with this new legislation. These Democratic “weapons” were weak as water to begin with, but now they have even less ground, if any, on which to stand.

BLACKS CAN FREELY VOTE IN AMERICA

The Voting Rights Act temporary ‘preclearance’ Section 5 awaits Supreme Court Decision
Vote Watch WI – 3/3/2013

Under the U.S. Constitution, states have the right to determine how they run their state elections. The Constitution also declares the federal government must treat all states equally under the law–the “equal footing” doctrine.

However, in 1965, America was still very racially divided, especially in the south. Many of us remember Alabama Governor George Wallace’s “Stand in the Schoolhouse Door” against integration or seeing “Colored Only” signs in the south. This type of blatant racism also affected the voting rights of minorities.

To right this wrong, Congress stepped in and drafted and passed the Voting Rights Act of 1965 (VRA), under the authority granted by the 15th Amendment, Section 2. “…to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.”

The heart of VRA protections lie in its Section 2, which permanently protect minorities from discriminatory election laws anywhere in our nation. Section 5 was added as a temporary measure, requiring nine states and portions in seven others to receive preclearance or permission before making any changes in their election procedures. Section 5 was to expire five years later but was reinstated in 1970, 1975, 1982, and 2006.

Shelby County [Alabama] v. Holder, brought before the Supreme Court last week, boils down to this question: have the states placed under Section 5 preclearance changed their election practices enough to finally strike that temporary requirement, or will Section 5 live on in perpetuity, solely because of its racially charged nature?

Based on Chief Justice John Roberts interaction with Solicitor General Donald Verrilli, it would seem Section 5 has served its usefulness. Roberts illustrated the benign nature of the pre-approvals by stating that in 2005, only one out of 3,700 preclearance requests was objected to.

Justice Roberts also asked Verrilli, “…which state had the worst ratio of white voter turnout to African American voter turnout?” Verrilli did not know. Roberts: “Massachusetts. Do you know what has the best, where African American turnout actually exceeds white turnout?” This too was surprising, “Mississippi.” Obviously, the south of 48 years ago is very different from the south of today

Some liberals equate striking Section 5 with increased voter suppression, arguing that Section 5 is still necessary to fight discrimination. They also infer Republicans are against voting rights for minorities.

However, 1965 southern racism was not a matter of party affiliation. Gov. Wallace was a Democrat. And though Democrats held the majority in Congress, Republicans proportionately favored the VRA with a higher percentage of yes votes than Democrats. Since then, VRA was renewed by Congress four times, each time under a Republican President.

Wisconsin Congressman James Sensenbrenner, a Republican, “helped lead negotiations to reauthorize” VRA in 1982 and as chairman of the Judiciary Committee in 2006, introduced and moved legislation to reauthorize VRA for another 25 years. Sensenbrenner believes Section 5 should remain.

But things have changed in the states under Section 5 authority since 2006. South Carolina elected Republican Governor Nikki Haley, of Indian American descent. She appointed African American Congressman Tim Scott to the U.S. Senate. Florida elected Cuban American Marco Rubio to the U.S. Senate. Louisiana elected Indian American Bobby Jindal as their Governor, and Texas just elected Ted Cruz to the U.S. Senate, whose father was a Cuban immigrant. Many of these states have African American Congressmen and Congresswomen.

As a nation, we have twice elected Barack Obama, whose father was African, as President. VRA Section 5 Preclearance cases fall under Justice Department authority, headed by Attorney General Eric Holder, the first African American to hold that position. Two of our Supreme Court Justices are minorities: Justice Clarence Thomas, African American, and Justice Sonia Sotomayor, the first Hispanic on the court.

The complexion of America clearly is changing. As the Wall Street Journal Voting Rights Watershed concluded, “The Supreme Court can recognize and honor American racial progress by restoring the “equal footing” doctrine to election laws and declaring that Sections 4 and 5 are no longer necessary.”

The Supreme Court’s decision should come in late June or July.

WILL THE RNC REQUEST A COURT ORDER TO ENSURE CLEAN ELECTIONS

WILL THE RNC REQUEST A COURT ORDER TO ENSURE CLEAN ELECTIONS?

Here’s why the RNC has been so silent about rampant voter fraud
Politichicks – Sonya Sasser – 1/18/2013

1982 Consent Decree bars the RNC from “engaging and assisting in voter fraud prevention unless the RNC obtains the court’s approval in advance.”

True the Vote also explains the two glaring issues with this consent decree:
First, the decree effectively robs poll watchers (and the ballot stakeholders that put them there) of their most important function: spotting and neutralizing attempted voter fraud. Indeed, poll watchers will mostly make note of procedural errors that could have negative impacts on voters. However, poll watchers also improve overall faith in the system when electors know that ALL of the rules are being enforced.

Second, the definition of “Ballot Security” sets an unreasonably high, yet undefined bar for what are acceptable anti-voter fraud operations. If the RNC wanted to execute a plan that prevented non-citizens from registering and voting, the courts would basically tell them to not press their luck. The RNC is effectively jammed: choosing between developing a system that the federal court and the DNC agree would be flawless or spending time and energy on developing issue ideas or get out the vote efforts. Time and money being finite, the RNC picks GOTV over “Ballot Security.”

Quite frankly, the whole thing is a mess! The Democrats can basically commit voter fraud and get away with it — without the RNC ever stepping in to do anything about it.

However, in a phone interview with Catherine Engelbrecht from True the Vote, she said, “There are some important points that need to be made though — the main one being that the 1982 consent decree only effects actions of the national party, not state or local which is where elections and ballot security should be focused anyway.”

In other words, the solution to this problem is YOU. The National Voter Registration Act of 1993 in particular, empowers all of us to fight for clean registrations and fair elections in our own communities:

WHY CAN’T AMERICANS TRUST THE VOTING PROCESS?

It's called a corrupt system that perpetuates corruption!

Vote-count snafus leave Allen West, Ron Barber hanging
Politio – Alex Isenstadt – 11/15/2012
Amid tales of election board incompetence in some of the most closely watched House races in the country — double-counting ballots in one county, failing to count ballots in many others — nervous candidates are on tenterhooks wondering if they won or lost. And election lawyers are girding for drawn-out courtroom fights.
Naturally, the biggest uproar surrounds West, whose legal team has launched an assault on the St. Lucie County Supervisor of Elections, accusing officials of gross incompetence. At issue is the office’s handling of early votes, which West’s lawyers argue were accidentally double-counted on election night and provided a winning margin to Democratic candidate Patrick Murphy, who leads the congressman by nearly 2,000 votes.

IS IT LEGAL FOR FEDERAL VANS TO TRANSPORT VOTERS?

Federal Job Corps vans used to bus voters in Wisconsin
Media Trackers – Brian Sikma – 11/6/2012
Media Trackers has found federal Job Corps vans being used to bus voters to at least one polling location in the City of Milwaukee. A van with federal plates and driven by a Job Corps employee was seen pulling up to the small polling station at the Clara Barton Elementary School in urban Milwaukee shortly after 1:00 pm on Tuesday. A Job Corps administrator inside the polling place said the federal vans had brought approximately 125 Job Corps participants to the poll as of early afternoon.

The administrator declined to give his name. The Job Corps is a division of the United States Department of Labor, a cabinet level agency that reports directly to President Obama, who is up for re-election today and who has campaigned hard in Wisconsin in recent days.

Poll workers inside the location struggled to handle the extra traffic created by the Job Corps participants brought in from a nearby training facility. A number of them were first time voters who had to be registered using Wisconsin’s same-day registration procedure. At one point a poll worker had to be asked by an unidentified election observer to confirm that a would-be registrant actually lived in the precincts served by the polling location.

Voter registration and voting were done inside one of the classrooms of the school. A photo of President Obama hung prominently near the ballot counting machine. There were no other photos of U.S. Presidents or U.S. historical figures hung on the walls.

Participants in the Milwaukee division of Job Corps are trained in a number of technical areas at no expense to themselves or their families. The Milwaukee center’s website – and other Job Corps sites – focus on the so-called green economy. “Job Corps is preparing students for the green economy through green training in the advanced manufacturing, automotive, and construction industry areas.”
