This is a long article with videos that is worth the read.   The EPA is not in the Constitution.

Environmental Protection Agency, or EPA, which is really the Employment Prevention Agency.  This bureaucracy cares nothing for the fact that unemployment is itself a serious health hazard—“increasing mortality rates, causing physical and mental ill-health and greater use of health services,” according to a medical journal article.

The EPA is in effect a fourth branch of government, combining both legislative and executive powers. 

Dr Thomas Sowell, economist and Patriot columnist, calls this an “end-run” around the Constitution, replacing “We the People” with “We the Bureaucrats”.

For example, the EPA has explicitly contradicted the Constitutionally-mandated legislative branch—Congress—in their mad crusade to declare CO2 a poison rather than the plant food and component of exhaled air that it is.

The two presidents have a lot in common. Both inherited an American economy in collapse. And both applied daring, expensive remedies. Mr. Reagan passed the biggest tax cut ever, combined with an agenda of deregulation, monetary restraint and spending controls. Mr. Obama, of course, has given us a $1 trillion spending stimulus.

By the end of the summer of Reagan's third year in office, the economy was soaring. The GDP growth rate was 5% and racing toward 7%, even 8% growth. In 1983 and '84 output was growing so fast the biggest worry was that the economy would "overheat." In the summer of 2011 we have an economy limping along at barely 1% growth and by some indications headed toward a "double-dip" recession. By the end of Reagan's first term, it was Morning in America. Today there is gloomy talk of America in its twilight.

One program for recovery worked, and the other hasn't.

The Reagan philosophy was to incentivize production—i.e., the "supply side" of the economy—by lowering restraints on business expansion and investment. This was done by slashing marginal income tax rates, eliminating regulatory high hurdles, and reining in inflation with a tighter monetary policy.

There is something that is genuinely different this time. It isn't the nature of the crisis Mr. Obama inherited, but the nature of his policy prescriptions.

The New York chapter of the National Organization for Women and the New York Civil Liberties Union are squealing about a 64-page decision in a workplace class-action suit brought by their friends in the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

Judge Loretta A. Preska of the U.S. District Court in Manhattan tossed out this case . . .  of workplace discrimination because the bosses failed to pretend that pregnant employees and those who took time off for maternity or other purposes were really doing the same work as those who worked faithfully fulltime on the job.

. . . the judge wrote, "'J'accuse!' is not enough in court. Evidence is required."

Data gleaned from 29,346 pages of documents obtained under the Freedom of Information Act and from other Fed databases of more than 21,000 transactions make clear for the first time how deeply the world’s largest banks depended on the U.S. central bank to stave off cash shortfalls. Even as the firms asserted in news releases or earnings calls that they had ample cash, they drew Fed funding in secret, avoiding the stigma of weakness

As the crisis deepened, the Fed relaxed its standards for acceptable collateral. Typically, the central bank accepts only bonds with the highest credit grades, such as U.S. Treasuries. By late 2008, it was accepting “junk” bonds, those rated below investment grade. It even took stocks, which are first to get wiped out in a liquidation.

‘Willingness to Lend’

“What you’re looking at is a willingness to lend against just about anything,” said Robert Eisenbeis, a former research director at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta and now chief monetary economist in Atlanta for Sarasota, Florida-based Cumberland Advisors Inc.

The Fed’s liquidity lifelines may increase the chances that banks engage in excessive risk-taking with borrowed money, Rogoff said. Such a phenomenon, known as moral hazard, occurs if banks assume the Fed will be there when they need it, he said. The size of bank borrowings “certainly shows the Fed bailout was in many ways much larger than TARP,” Rogoff said.

My question is, if we came from the sea and developed into men, women, animals etc. where did that first cell or cells come from that could so perfectly develop into eyes to see, ears to hear, lungs to breathe, stomach to digest food, etc.?? There has to be a superior being there to make such a cell or cells. And also, if we developed from the ape, why is there no half ape/half men here for us to see? Just a few thoughts!!! Evolution is another way to sidetrack our minds away from the CREATOR!!

GDP increases any time the government spends money. It doesn't matter if that money is actually put to productive use or not - GDP rises nonetheless.

It's obvious why big-government Keynesians would like this calculation: It substantiates their claim that government spending stimulates economic growth.
In the real world, however, this makes no sense. Indeed, none of the examples above actually add to economic welfare.

So how can you get an accurate measure of economic growth?

Arithmetically, there's a simple solution: You take Line 1, "Gross Domestic Product," in the Bureau of Economic Analysis' GDP Table and subtract from it Line 21, "Government Consumption Expenditures and Gross Investment."

That gives you a net number, which we can call "gross private product," or GPP. It's a measure of all the output produced by the private sector. In general, it will underestimate national "welfare" unless government is really bad. But it will give you a much better idea of the output the market economy is producing.

That’s when the Federal Reserve steps in and makes new money – out of thin air – and loans it to the banks. The banks are now “solvent.” The also own the houses. Business as usual; the banks win.

Except that there are $1.2 trillion in the economy that were created out of thin air. Which means inflation. Which means everyone suffers – from the subprime homeowners evicted from their houses, to those who never took any loans, to the companies who built the houses. Everyone is left with dollars in their hands that are getting more and more worthless because the value of the dollar is falling.

Could the FED do something else? No. That was why it was created: to cheat everyone out of their money while protecting the banks and the federal government against default and failure, no matter what.

For the 2011 recall election, WEAC spent $500,000.

The nearly $40 million all of labor spent on the recall elections, where just over 450,000 votes were cast, comes out to about $89 per vote. Of that, $5 million was local union money with the rest coming from national union sources.

WEAC isn’t alone. Government-sector unions across Wisconsin are cutting staff and trimming expenses.

It goes deeper. Wisconsin is the 16th most unionized state in the country with 355,000 workers, 14.2 percent of total employed, belonging to unions. Of these, nearly half, more than 175,000, are government workers. Nationally, there are more government workers in unions than private-sector workers. Annually, the private-sector numbers decline, while the government-sector numbers go up.

Kick the props — the union shop and dues check-off — from government-sector unions and you kick the props from more than half of what’s left of the American labor movement that represents a scant 11.9 percent of American workers in total. In Wisconsin the props are gone, and the movement is listing worse than the Titanic.

Soon more workers will have the right to decide whether to join a union and face compulsory deduction of dues from their pay.   That will shut off the automatic millions of dollars flowing to union leaders’ pockets and campaign war chests.

That comment is what prompted Sean’s telephone call. He wanted to know how could I favor trade unions but not public unions.  I said, Sean, you say you’re an electrician, an unusually skilled one. A private employer would value your services and be motivated to pay you enough money to keep you from quitting and getting a job down the street from his competitor. But if he pays you too much, he will have to raise his prices and he’ll go out of business. Then you won’t have a job, and you don’t want that. So there are these limits on both sides built into the union negotiation process. Sean agreed.

But that’s not true for public employee unions, I said.  Politicians negotiate these contracts using other peoples’ money – the taxpayers’ money. Government has no competition, so it can always raise “prices” – that is, taxes. And the politicians know if they give the union employees large raises, some of that money will come back to them in the form of campaign contributions. So there is no incentive for either side to limit their demands.

This was based upon the idea of a singularity of allegiance. The position being that if a person whose father was born outside the country and the son inside the country it would put the son in a position of dual allegiance between his birth country and the country of his father. Vattel stated it this way: “I say, that, in order to be of the country, it is necessary that a person be born of a father who is a citizen; for if he is born there of a foreigner, it will be only the place of his birth, and not his country.”

“At common law, with the nomenclature of which the framers of the constitution were familiar, it was never doubted that all children born in a country, of parents who were its citizens, became themselves, upon their birth, citizens also. These were natives or natural-born citizens, as distinguished from aliens or foreigners. Some authorities go further, and include as citizens children born within the jurisdiction, without reference to the citizenship of their parents. As to this class there have been doubts, but never as to the first. For the purposes of this case, it is not necessary to solve these doubts. So wherein lays the deception you may ask? The deception lies in that over 500 politicians, and countless government and academic lawyers would have you believe that there is no way to determine the meaning of a phrase used by our founders in the Constitution of the United States, the basis of the Law of our Nation, and operative for over two hundred years. Yet, I and scores of other lay people all around the nation have been screaming this simple truth and no one listens. In truth I totally believe they know exactly what is going on, but it does not serve their purposes and to them the end justifies the means.

After a meeting with members of the local Tea Party and Dr. Jerome Corsi, Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio has announced that he will launch an official investigation into the authenticity of the birth certificate and whether or not Obama will legally be allowed to be placed on the 2012 ballot in Arizona’s most populace county. Arizona has a state law, recently passed that any candidate must be able to provide adequate documentation to prove their eligibility to run for office before being placed on a ballot.

OBAMA: THERE AREN'T ENOUGH RICH PEOPLE FOR YOU TO TAX

Check the chart in the article.  Because of uncertainty, new regulations and IRS adjustments, the number of millionaires and billionaires decreases. Because they decrease in number, revenue is reduced to the national treasury. 

The Obama tactic of calling for more taxes on the rich is purely political, and intended to focus anger at the wealthy and to demagogue the Republicans.  He and his party are desperate to avoid answering for their failed policies.   It is the most crass and mendacious of tactics and one befitting a person with no character and integrity that he would pit Americans against Americans for his personal gain while further damaging the economy and the future of succeeding generations.

Only a few reader comments have been copied.  There are more on line and they illustrate and illuminate the opinions of average folks around the world.

READER COMMENT:  The Dems have been doing this forever and it has served them well.  There have been far more Democratic majorities in Congress than Republican over the past 100 years.  Do we expect them to give up what works?  The sheeple respond to this rhetoric.  It doesn't work for the country, but it works for power hungry Dems.  It won't work this time because the Marxist in Chief is very unpopular, but it's not going away.
READER COMMENT:   Wonderful analysis.  I was unaware of the reality of your tax sysytem.  In the UK when we dramatically raised the taxes on the "rich" the actual amount raised fell in half from what they anticipated.  So the powers-to-be raised the VAT tax and as many other taxes as they could which fell most heavily on the middle-class who could not escape paying them. 

Class warfare is a cottage industry here and is in part responsible for the recent riots.  As your economy gets worse and good paying jobs harder to find (as Mr.McCann so aptly points out) due to the loss of manufacturing, the Left and people like Obama will precipitate violence by their class envy rhetoric.  Trust me when I say--once that cat is out of the bag there will be hell to pay in your wonderful country.   He and his fellow-travelers must be stopped.
READER COMMENT:   Envy is one of the most toxic emotions there is.   Envy makes a weak practitioner of it turn a blind eye to everything that is good enough in his life to constantly pursue the never achievable concept of "more".   There will always be someone who is paid more and has more, just like there are always people who know more and do more.  And by and large, there is a correlation between those who know or do more and those who are paid more and have more.   This is not a 100% rule, but in a relatively functional capitalist society, it is strongly correlated.    While there is a relative concept of being underpaid, it can be remedied provided there is a robust enough economy to provide options for those with talent.  

But if envy is used to buy votes that put social engineers in power whose only stated goal is equal outcomes, then there will be no connection knowing more and doing more and being paid more and having more.   Such things will be determined not by talent but by far cruder methods like group membership, such as party, gender, race, religion, etc....

READER COMMENT:   I'm sorry garbage in, garbage out; conceptually, the system is wrong as is most of the conclusions. First, forget the assumptions and let's begin with basics. A progressive tax system has only one function (besides raising revenues for an insatiable beast) and that is the concept. It is not democratic (small [d]) it is punitive. Do the rich get more free services than the poor? Is their defense greater than the lowest tax rate? Obviously not. Then there is the little question of who pays the highest bracket and what are their options for not paying their "fair share." Why do you suppose there is so much lobbying for special advantages? Why do you suppose that Obama claims he is going to raise one billion dollars? And, how did we end up with four branches of government instead of three? And, two of the four are beyond the reach of citizens altogether. What four?

The bureaucracy of the various agencies for one thing have their own tax mechanism, they merely call it a fine. It is not rare that a similar tax is levied by the courts. Further, let's look at the various deductions (and I will guarantee for every one congress abolishes, two or...

[A]fter the market close on Friday August 5th, we received word that S&P CEO Deven Sharma had taken control of the ratings agency and personally led the push for a U.S. downgrade. There is a lot of evidence that he has deliberately tried to trash the U.S. economy. Even after discovering that the S&P debt calculations were off by $2 trillion, Sharma made the decision to go ahead with the unethical downgrade. This is a guy who was a key contributor at the 2009 Bilderberg Summit that organized 120 of the world's richest men and women to push for an end to the dollar as the global reserve currency.

[T]hrough his writings on “competitive strategy” S&P CEO Sharma considers the United States the PROBLEM in today’s world, operating with what he implies is an unfair and reckless advantage. The brutal reality is that for "globalization" to succeed the United States must be torn asunder . . .

It seems the Bilderbergers are less interested in governing the world than in owning the world.

The idea behind each and every Bilderberg meeting is to create what they themselves call THE ARISTOCRACY OF PURPOSE between European and North American elites on the best way to manage the planet. In other words, the creation of a global network of giant cartels, more powerful than any nation on Earth, destined to control the necessities of life of the rest of humanity.

That base of power was found in the private global banking system.

The world company acquires assets by preventing governments from issuing their own currencies and credit. Money is created instead by banks as loans at interest. The debts inexorably grow, since more money is always owed back than was created in the original loans.  (For more on this, see here.) If currencies are not allowed to expand to meet increased costs and growth, the inevitable result is a wave of bankruptcies, foreclosures, and sales of assets at firesale prices. Sales to whom?  To the “world company.”

According to a study released last fall by the Brookings Institute, the rise in children born out of wedlock is “assuring the persistence of poverty, wasting human potential, and raising government spending.” In its Strengthening Fragile Families study of single-parent households, the Brookings researchers wrote that “the most important conclusion … is that these families play a central role in boosting the nation’s poverty rate and that they and their children contribute disproportionately to many other serious social problems.” 

Should the country be alarmed by these trends? According to Benjamin Scafidi, an economist at Georgia State’s Bunting School of Business, fractured families, divorce and unwed childbearing cost taxpayers at the least $112 billion per year, some $70 billion is in federal outlays, the balance borne at the state and federal level. His work is based on evidence that single-parent households tend to have a higher propensity towards poverty, which boosts spending for food stamps and Medicaid, for instance. He also concludes that young people raised by single parents are more likely to get into trouble, more often developing drug problems or ending up in jail.

. . .this simply-worded, positive-sounding definition hides the agenda that can only lead to a breathtaking transformation of society. According to its advocates, to achieve the goal of meeting today’s needs with out compromising the needs of the future requires massive amounts of land and natural resources to be permanently locked away from use; that means preservation not conservation. More importantly, according to them, it requires an entirely new way of thinking about how society is organized.

In order to fully comprehend the magnitude of the changes required to enforce Sustainable Development, a much more descriptive and honest definition is necessary. One such as this: Imagine an America in which a specific “ruling principle” is created to decide proper societal conduct for every citizen. That principle would be used to consider regulations guiding everything you eat, the kind of home you are allowed to live in, the way you dispose of waste, perhaps even the number of children you may have, as well as the quality and amount of education your children may receive. As I said, Sustainable Development encompasses every aspect of our lives.

OBAMA'S TREATY BY EXECUTIVE ORDER

This one makes your jaw drop -- For 30 years the Senate refused to ratify a treaty, but President Obama signed an executive order over a year ago that no one in Congress has challenged.  President Obama does not need elected representatives to pass law--he just makes up his own.

A year earlier, 2009, President Obama directed the creation of the “Interagency Ocean Policy Task Force ” who was tasked to come up with a recommendation for how to best manage the ocean resources and waterway usages. Their final report read quite similarly to the, surprise -- surprise, Law of the Sea Treaty mandates.

Upon receiving the final recommendations of the Interagency Ocean Policy Task Force President Obama signed into law Executive Order 13547 and instituted a run around of the requirement to have all treaties ratified by the Senate and creating law outside of the legislature.

Little does Barack Obama understand that he has forever branded himself as an incompetent and failure.  His narcissism and lifelong history of receiving public adulation will not allow him to comprehend the damage.  He does not understand that now few will listen to his speeches, no matter how well delivered; that few will believe what he is saying, as he has lied and obfuscated the facts so often.  Many world leaders have already arrived at the conclusion that Barack Obama is a leader that cannot be trusted, the citizens of the United States are beginning to  understand that he is a man without a core set of principles thus incapable of guiding the ship of state.

The Obama Presidency is over.  He has abdicated all responsibility to the Congress, in particular the House of Representatives, which has little choice but to assume a role they are not structured to do: lead the country as best they can until November 2012.  The American people, suffering under the burden of high joblessness, eroding housing values, inflation and dramatically declining economic growth with no prospect of any immediate relief, are increasingly resigned to the fact that they must focus on surviving as best they can until the election.

The wealthiest 1% in this country employ more people than the poorest in this country, and the people that work for the government are making out like bandits!  . . . Obama is employing their radical views.  Obama is going after every target they've got.  Obama's got a bull's-eye on practically every target these guys want to be hit.  

The entire country, our entire system is under attack.  When we talk about "creating wealth," we're talking about one thing: Capitalism.  Socialism does not create wealth.  Socialism redistributes it, but if there's nothing creating wealth, then of course there's nothing to redistribute.  Socialism destroys wealth.

Government destroys wealth, plain and simple. 

. . . This is the emergence . . . of American progressivism after a hundred years of maturation.  This is what it looks like.

A BUSY SIX MONTHS -- THE WISCONSIN GOP-LED LEGISLATURE

A Busy Six Months:

The GOP-led Legislature Has Accomplished a Great Deal Since January

Among other things, the Legislature and Governor Walker have:

Passed a state budget (2011 Act 32) on time, without tax increases, that leaves Wisconsin in the black for the first time in over a decade:

• Turned a $3 billion deficit into a $300 million surplus
• Instituted the first permanent property tax cap in our state’s history
• Cut bonding (state borrowing) by nearly 20 percent
• Cut more than 1,000 government jobs, including 735 long-term vacancies
• Enacted sweeping business tax reforms that will save Wisconsin’s job creators over   $130 million a year when fully implemented.

Results:

• In the first 6 months of 2011, Wisconsin showed job growth more than twice the national rate
• 88% of Wisconsin businesses say the state is on the right track, up from 10% a year ago
• 53% of businesses of all sizes predict they will add jobs and increase wages in the next12 months¹

The Budget Repair Bill (2011 Act 10) gave schools and other local governments the tools to control their budgets without sacrificing services:

• MacIver Institute: Wisconsin Schools Already In Line to Save Hundreds of Millions of Dollars²;
• Milwaukee Journal Sentinel: Most state school districts dodge layoffs, cuts – some districts hiring new teachers for the upcoming academic year³.

Other Legislative Successes So Far:

• Protected our votes by requiring a picture I.D. at the polls (2011 Act 23)
• Became the 49^th U.S. state to recognize its citizens’ Second Amendment rights to carry concealed weapons (2011 Act 35)
• Created a commission on Waste, Fraud, and Abuse that has already reported a potential $260 million in savings (Executive Order)
• Limited manufacturer liability only to those products they actually produced (2011 Act 2)
• Created a state tax credit for Health Savings Accounts (2011 Act 1)
• Passed legislation requiring a 2/3 supermajority vote to raise income or sales tax rates unless a statewide referendum supports the increases (2011 Act 9)
• Repealed higher auto insurance requirements enacted in the 2009 budget (2011 Act 14)
• Expanded the prohibition against tax money being used to subsidize abortion (2011 Act 32)
• Repealed in-state tuition for illegal immigrants (2011 Act 32)
• Repealed a mandate on local law enforcement to collect racial data during traffic stops (2011 Act 29)
• Expanded School Choice to Racine and potentially Green Bay (2011 Act 32)
• Required a successful drug test in order to receive unemployment benefits 2011 (2011 Act 32)
• Wisconsin paid off its $60 million debt owed to Minnesota under the former tax reciprocity agreement between the states (2011 Act 32)
• Wisconsin paid back the $200 million from Gov. Doyle’s unconstitutional raid of the Patients Compensation Fund (2011 Act 32)
