Common Core recommends specific books for common core standards that recommends 45 states teach specific books – text exemplar

Common Core serves as a marketing ploy to direct teachers to an author’s website selling books.  Why would a teacher be obligated to teach pornographic literature?  Is it just to be prepared for the ‘national assessment?’  This is teaching to the test.
