WHY DO LIBERALS HATE CONSERVATIVES

Absurd reasons why liberals hate conservatives
Godfather Politics  - Garay DeMar – 10/6/2014

There are so people in the liberal camp that are blinding by their own prejudices that they can’t see any view but their own and refuse to be taught otherwise.

Cook mentions a Facebook exchange:

“Republicans hate anything that isn’t white, wealthy, and Christian at least in appearance. They hate the poor, women, and minorities. They hate science and don’t believe that the global warming we clearly are experiencing is man-made.

“They hate any government programs that help the poor and minorities, and the particularly despise immigrants, particularly the illegal kind. They love programs that line the pockets of oil companies, mining companies, and are willing to export jobs with wild abandon.

“They hate public education, and they despise public schools and the public school teachers and public university professors. And since they do not respect the market place of ideas, they hate tenure (that gives teachers academic freedom) because it prevents them from firing teachers who are Democrats and who might infect some student with their liberal ideas.

“They want insurance companies to make a maximum of profit, and are perfectly willing for the health insurance companies to kill people by refusing service to anyone that might cost them a buck more than the median expense. They don’t care about clean food because it might cost the food corporation a little money, and they don’t care about clean water because cleaning up the waste will cost their precious corporate persons a little money.”

Any conservative reading the above characterization would be fuming after reading it. I would love to answer each of the charges, but it would take a book to do so. In fact, books have been written debunking these caricatures of conservatives, but the false narrative continues.

Let me quickly give a series of snapshot responses:

Conservatives hate it when liberals use the poor, women, and minorities as political pawns to further the expansion of the State and make them dependent on government.

Conservatives love science, that’s why they question the man-made global warming thesis.
Conservatives don hate government programs that claim to help the poor and minorities but in reality hurt the power long-term.

Conservatives love immigrants because most of us are descendants of immigrants who followed the rules and came here legally.

Conservatives oppose illegal immigration because they understand that many liberals want to use it to grow the already bankrupt welfare State to empower the Democrat Party.
True conservatives despise corporate welfare or what is often called “crony capitalism,” although it has nothing to do with capitalism

Oil company profits are paid out to millions of stock holders, many of who are liberals.
Companies would not “export jobs” if the corporate tax rate and excessive regulations weren’t debilitating, thus, making it difficult for American companies to compete with foreign companies.

Conservatives who choose to send their children to public schools do not “hate public education” or “despise public schools and the public school teachers.” They hate and despise much of what is taught in these schools and what is not taught.
Conservatives do respect the “market place of ideas.” That’s why they are often critical of university professors who use tenure as a way often to exclude academic competition by a rehearsal of alternative positions and facts.

Insurance companies are generally despised. But we should remember that insurance companies are tightly regulated by government. Our government has often curtailed interstate competition among insurance companies.

It’s absurd that Conservatives “don’t care about clean food” or “clean water because cleaning up the waste will cost their precious corporate persons a little money.”

MAKE LIBERALS DEFEND THEIR POSITION BECAUSE THE CONSERVATIVE POSITION IS STRONGER

Always make your opponent defend their record / belief system
SteveDeace.com – Steve Deace – 5/29/2014

The following is an excerpt from the new book “Rules for Patriots: How Conservatives Can Win Again.”

This is one of the most intelligent debates you'll never year.  So READ IT!

Your Republican champion is ready to take on a notoriously liberal member of the mainstream media, who is a Democrat talking-point regurgitator masquerading as an objective journalist.

veyard,” because so many conservatives have gone there to die in the past that grassroots patriots wonder why Republicans even agree to do it at all anymore. “Keith” is snotty, snarky, and worst of all, smart. Like wickedly smart. The kind of guy you wish was on your side.

He’s also not known for exchanging pleasantries, and goes right for the throat with his very first question.

“Mr. Republican, you have been critical of Democrats calling for more policies to help the poor and downtrodden in our abundantly wealthy society, saying they are too expensive and taxpayers shouldn’t be asked to shoulder such a burden,” he says. “It’s easy for those who are well off like you to focus first on their own needs, and not the needs of others, but I believe I am my brother’s keeper. You claim to be a Christian, so isn’t it the moral thing to care for the less fortunate? Surely, in a country as wealthy as ours there is no excuse for poverty. Instead of tax cuts for the rich, shouldn’t we put others less fortunate first?”

TED CRUZ' FATHER: PASTOR RAFAEL CRUZ

Senator Cruz’ Dad speaks out
Citizen Link  - Bethany Monk - 10/4/2013

Texas Pastor Rafael Cruz wasn’t at all surprised when his son stood for more than 21 hours straight last month urging federal lawmakers to defund Obamacare. He’s a man of principle, and it’s his nature, the elder Cruz said.

Obamacare, signed into law in March 2010, requires larger companies to offer health insurance to those who work 30 hours or more. If not, they face steep fines. Most Americans oppose the law. Pastor Cruz calls it the “worst thing” the American government has done.

Though he faced criticism from mainstream media, many say Cruz’ son, U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz from Texas, stood up for Americans across the country when he gave his “marathon speech” on the Senate floor.

Rafael Cruz, director of Purifying Fire Ministries, helped with his son’s Senate race last year, and he continues to deliver speeches across the country on religious freedom and pro-family issues. Last weekend, CitizenLink co-sponsored his speeches in Thornton and Colorado Springs, Colo. Pastor Cruz took some time to talk with CitizenLink.

CONSERVATIVES NEED A DEFINITION

Two faces of conservatism
News with Fiews – Marilyn MacGruder Barnewall – 8/4/2013

Another cause of the current division within the GOP is the Party Leadership’s constant acceptance of (or compromise with) issues that not only are not compatible with Conservative principles, they are in total opposition to them. Another is a population that appears to want to entertain itself to death. Too few people have an interest in seriously studying how to preserve the foundations of our country. It would take years for a massive re-education program to effect change in social attitudes that are constantly being beguiled by the media. A politically ignorant population never remains free from tyrants seeking personal power and wealth accessible to them only by getting elected to public office and then abusing their power.

My definition says that conservatism is based on three basic elements;

1) AMERICA’S FOUNDING DOCUMENTS (which guarantee the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness and points out that the rights of the people do not come from government and that government works for the people, not the other way around);

2) TRUTH based on discernable facts (rather than media/political talking points and expert opinions – as in scientists who, until scientific evidence of fraudulent research practices were made public, were adamant that “humans are the primary cause of global warming’); and,

3) the guarantee that the RULE OF LAW will dominate the social order so that all people have equal access to justice, regardless of race, color, creed, or social status. There are sub-elements, but none violate these three primary principles.

That is the basis of Conservative principles and philosophy. The truth is, I don’t care what religion someone professes (if any) provided they believe in these things. Democrats (not Liberals, but Democrats) who believe in these three things could easily call themselves “Conservative” – and many Republicans who say they are Conservative would fail the definitional test.

Why does the Democrat Party have such an easy time splitting Conservatives into different groups on the basis of issues… abortion, illegal immigration, gun control, and – you name the issue? Because there is no leadership in the Party and because Republicans are not providing a strong and easily understandable philosophy of what the word “Conservative” means.

Being fiscally Conservative is an issue that emerges from Conservative philosophy. It is just an issue. It is part of the philosophy, but it is not THE philosophy.

When you say you are a constitutionalist, you do not get to choose which parts of the Constitution you agree with and which parts you disagree with.
The same is true of all Republican issues. The three primary principles of Conservative philosophy – Constitution, Truth, Rule of Law – make the stand that must be taken on illegal immigration (violation of the Rule of Law), welfare and give-aways (for which there is no constitutional provision), education (Rule of Law that flows from the Constitution) – apparent. Follow the Constitution and you have all of the right answers to all Conservative issues. But Republicans seem to believe they can replace the philosophy of Conservatives with political ideology. They cannot.

SCOTT WALKER ON CONSERVATISM

Two Faces of Conservatism – Part 1 of 3

News with Views – Marilyn MacGruder Barnewall – 8/4/2013 – Two Faces of Conservatism

Marilyn Barnewall attended and writes her reports on two speakers, Governor Scott Walker and Senator Ted Cruz.  This is her link to comments on Gov. Scott Walker’s speech at the Western Conservative Summit 7/26/2013 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Denver, attended by 2,000 people who define themselves as “Conservatives.”

I was surprised at the quality, content and efficiency – especially the size – of the Conference. The Hyatt Regency did a great job hosting the event. It was, generally speaking, one of the best conferences I’ve attended (and I’ve been to a lot of them). The 2013 version of the Summit was attended by many Conservatives from out-of-state (non-Coloradans) and if you’re looking for a great way to spend time next summer, you might want to consider starting a vacation with three days at the Western Conservative Conference and the rest of your available time enjoying the cool mountains and streams of this beautiful state. Contact the Western Conservative Conference and ask to have your name put on their mailing list.

. . . conservatism is based on three basic elements;

1) America’s founding documents (which guarantee the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness and points out that the rights of the people do not come from government and that government works for the people, not the other way around);

2) Truth based on discernable facts (rather than media/political talking points and expert opinions – as in liberal scientists who, until scientific evidence of fraudulent research practices were made public, were adamant that “humans are the primary cause of global warming’); and,

3) the guarantee that the Rule of Law will dominate the social order so that all people have equal access to justice, regardless of race, color, creed, or social status. That is the basis of Conservative principles and philosophy. Democrats (not Liberals, but Democrats) who believe in these things could easily call themselves “Conservative” – and many Republicans who say they are Conservative would fail the definitional test.

. . . . there is a split within the Republican Party about the definition of “Conservative.” That “split” is, I believe, clearly exhibited by two of the speeches given at the Summit… the speeches of Governor Walker and Senator Cruz.

IRS AUDITS, CONSERVATIVES, INTERNS AND DEMANDING QUESTIONS

IRS targeted conservative college interns
Daily Caller – Patrick Howley – 5/20/2013

Click the link above, page 2, for the actual IRS questionnaire to Leadership Institute

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) demanded information about conservative groups’ college-aged interns, prompting outrage from one of the country’s top conservative activist organizations and leading one former intern to wonder whether his family’s pizza parlor would be endangered.

The IRS requested, in an audit, the names of the conservative Leadership Institute’s 2008 interns, as well as specific information about their internship work and where the interns were employed in 2012, according to a document request the IRS sent to the Leadership Institute, dated February 14, 2012.

The Leadership Institute’s audit, which was conducted by the IRS’ Baltimore office and which ended with no determination of wrongdoing but cost the conservative group $50,000 in legal fees, only covered the year 2008, leading employees to speculate that the IRS’ primary interest was figuring out how the group operates during a presidential election year.

“They were very interested in seeing what conservative organizations were doing in 2008, and where the interns from 2008 were now employed,”

“When you’re audited, you’re not told why you’re being audited. So the first round of questions are pretty basic and general. In the subsequent rounds they asked invasive questions. Those are the questions we declined to answer. It’s none of their business, and it’s not part of a legitimate audit,” Fenner said. “It has the feel of a watch list.”

“They could have audited my family’s business,” McGonigal said. “I was very concerned.”

The IRS also demanded information on the high school and college students trained by the conservative group Linchpins of Liberty.

IRS RELEASES CROSSROADS DOCUMENTS

Liberal Organization with ties to George Soros got documents from IRS
Freedom Outpost – Dean Garrison – 5/18/2013

ProPublica dropped a bombshell on Monday evening. For those who have not heard, they admitted to receiving confidential documents, at their request, from the IRS.

On Nov. 15, 2012, ProPublica requested the applications of 67 nonprofits, all of which had spent money on the 2012 elections. (Because no social welfare groups with Tea Party in their names spent money on the election, ProPublica did not at that point request their applications. We had requested the Tea Party applications earlier, after the groups first complained about being singled out by the IRS. In response, the IRS said it could find no record of the tax-exempt status of those groups — typically how it responds to requests for unapproved applications.)

Just 13 days after ProPublica sent in its request, the IRS responded with the documents on 31 social welfare groups.

One of the applications the IRS released to ProPublica was from Crossroads GPS, the largest social-welfare nonprofit involved in the 2012 election. The group, started in part by GOP consultant Karl Rove, promised the IRS that any effort to influence elections would be “limited.” The group spent more than $70 million from anonymous donors in 2012.

ProPublica also exposed a tie to Washington D.C. and you know what that means. I don’t have to spell it out for you, do I? Check this out:

Last December, Collegio wrote in an email: “As far as we know, the Crossroads application is still pending, in which case it seems that either you obtained whatever document you have illegally, or that it has been approved.”

This year, the IRS appears to have changed the office that responds to requests for nonprofits’ applications. Previously, the IRS asked journalists to fax requests to a number with a 513 area code — which includes Cincinnati. ProPublica sent a request by fax on Feb. 5 to the Ohio area code. On March 13, that request was answered by David Fish, a director of Exempt Organizations Guidance, in Washington, D.C.

In early April, a ProPublica reporter’s request to the Ohio fax number bounced back. An IRS spokesman said at the time the number had changed “recently.” The new fax number begins with 202, the area code for Washington, D.C.

EPA: MOSTLY DENIES FREEDOM OF INFORMATION FOR CONSERVATIVES

Vitter:  EPA FOIA scandal ‘no different than the IRS disaster’
Daily Caller – Michael Bastasch – 5/17/2013

A Republican senator says allegations that the Environmental Protection Agency has made it more difficult for conservative groups to obtain information is no different from the burgeoning scandal at the IRS.

Shortly after the IRS admitted to targeting conservative groups, it was reported that the EPA has routinely denied fee waiver requests from conservative groups seeking government records, while at the same time, approving such requests to environmental groups.

“We know the Obama EPA has completely mismanaged FOIA, but granting fee waivers for their friends in the far-left environmental community, while simultaneously blocking conservative leaning groups from gaining access to information; is really no different than the IRS disaster,” Louisiana Republican Sen. David Vitter told the Daily Caller News Foundation in an emailed statement.

The free-market Competitive Enterprise Institute revealed that since January 2012 the EPA granted fee waivers for 75 out of 82 Freedom of Information Act requests sent by major environmental groups and only denied seven of them — a 92 percent success rate for green groups. However, the agency rejected or ignored 21 out of 26 fee waiver requests from conservative groups — an 81 percent rejection rate.

“Their practice is to take care of their friends and impose ridiculous obstacles to deny problematic parties’ requests for information,” said CEI senior fellow Chris Horner.

When a fee waiver is denied, it generally stops the FOIA request as many groups don’t have the resources to pay the fees associated to get the FOIA.

WHITE HOUSE AND IRS WATCH CONSERVATIVES ONLINE

Google Analytics – IRS, White House check in on Watchdog (Why?)
Watchdog.org - Ryan Ekvall, Matt Kittle and Will Swaim -

IRS continually checked out Watchdog.org

The IRS’ interest in Watchdog.org content comes as news reports revealed that IRS officials were looking more closely at conservative nonprofits. The agency declared that activity “inappropriate” and limited to fairly low-level agents.

According to Google Analytics, Watchdog.org posted record government traffic on Dec. 14, generating 1,142 unique visits from addresses marked .gov — more than three times the normal daily count. Compare the one-day total to 9,193 total government-entity visitors who stopped by between Dec. 1, 2012 and Jan. 31, 2013.

The IRS generated 456 unique visitors, between January 2009 and May 2013, according to Google Analytics. The report notes 552 visits and 709 page views from the IRS. Most of the traffic occurred between the second half of 2012 and this week.

The analytics show 60 unique visitors and 84 page views to Watchdog.org from eop.gov, the Executive Office of the President, between December 2009 and May 2013.
Neither the White House nor IRS responded to requests for comment.

CONSERVATIVE FUNDING OF 2010 ELECTION SPURRED IRS INVESTIGATION

Baucus, now investigating IRS, urged IRS to target conservative groups in 2010
Daily Caller – Patrick Howley – 5/13/2013

Democratic Montana Senator Max Baucus is leading an investigation into why the Internal Revenue Service targeted conservative nonprofit groups for extra scrutiny despite the fact that Baucus once wrote a letter urging the IRS to do exactly that.

Baucus, chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, will head the committee’s investigation into the IRS, which apologized Friday for targeting groups with the terms “Tea Party” and “Patriot” in their titles for extra scrutiny of their nonprofit status as early as 2011.

However, Baucus once wrote a letter requesting that the IRS engage in that very conduct.

Baucus wrote a letter to then-IRS commissioner Douglas Shulman dated September 28, 2010 urging the IRS to investigative nonprofit conservative groups during the Tea Party-dominated 2010 midterm elections.

BLOGGER COMMENT:  Apparently funds directed at conservative candidates (as opposed to liberal / progressive / socialist candidates) was too much for Democratic Senator Max Baucus.

He encouraged the IRS to scrutinize the application of non-profits.  And now he’s “leading an investigation” into the IRS.?????

Can anyone take seriously the actions of any elected official or appointed bureaucrat or any person anymore who works for the federal government?  Are we still supposed to trust these people with our lives and our taxes?

SHOULD BULLY TEACHERS RECEIVE ‘SENSITIVITY’ TRAINING?

Courageous Benji Backer joins Megyn Kelly to tlak about Liberal Bulling Teachers

4/5/2013

Teen torn apart by teachers for being conservative fights back!
Last Resistance – Frank Cam- - 4/5/2013

something the media never mentions is bullying against Conservative teens. It happens often in college, where Secularism rules; but more and more incidents are occurring in high schools, with teachers intimidating and ridiculing Conservative students.

According to FOX News:  “Fifteen-year-old Benji Backer says he was bullied for his conservative political beliefs, but by his teachers, not fellow students…he was picked on so badly for his support of Governor Romney and Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker that he had to switch schools…Benji recalled an incident during which his English teacher in Appleton, Wisconsin, berated him in front of the entire class, telling him that small business owners take off Fridays and summers, making claims that he worked harder than Benji’s father, and saying that as a teacher, he didn’t make enough money to provide for his family.”

“Fifteen-year-old Benji Backer says he was bullied for his conservative political beliefs, but by his teachers, not fellow students…he was picked on so badly for his support of Governor Romney and Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker that he had to switch schools…Benji recalled an incident during which his English teacher in Appleton, Wisconsin, berated him in front of the entire class, telling him that small business owners take off Fridays and summers, making claims that he worked harder than Benji’s father, and saying that as a teacher, he didn’t make enough money to provide for his family.”

This is one example of the Liberal definition of tolerance. Those on the Left, unwilling to accept that anyone could possibly think differently than they, simply can’t compute a difference of opinion. The only reaction Liberals have when they encounter opposing views is to ridicule, and tear apart. Liberals aren’t wired to understand differing views; so they become scared and irrational.

MOCKING GOD INVITES HIS WRATH

God will not be mocked
Patriot Update – Rhonda Bauer – 11/14/2021
America has tasted the poisonous fruits of lust, pride, passion, and envy – sloth, frivolity, iniquity and entitlement. She has tasted of their sweet deception and found it irresistible. She has danced in the streets, intoxicated by the very poison that will be her undoing.
America has rebelled against God. She has shaken her fist at Him and arrogantly cried, “We don’t need you. We don’t want you. We know better than you. Now go away.”
And so He’s going away.
I grieve for my children. I grieve for America’s children. Evil won on Tuesday. An arrogant and rebellious nation has chosen, for her leader, an arrogant and rebellious man, whose arrogant and rebellious party has, as Pastor John MacArthur put it, “adopted the sins of Romans 1 as their platform.”
“This is a new day in our country,” he lamented. “Parties that used to differ on economics, now differ dramatically on issues that invade the realm of God’s law and morality.”
We have mocked God.
God will not be mocked.
Millions of Americans looked evil in the eye and adopted it,” wrote Liberty Counsel’s Mat Staver the day after the election. “Abortion, same-sex marriage and immorality carried the day.”
Indeed, evil carried the day. America has willfully chosen a Democratic platform – a Romans 1 platform – upon which to stand. We have chosen a party that thrice denied God, and then returned his name in vain – amid deafening boos – to its platform.
Indeed, they have invited God’s wrath. Our president has invited God’s wrath. We all, through act or omission, have invited God’s wrath.
Those of us who believe needn’t win every battle – any battle – to which we are consigned. We need only remain obedient. We need only remain faithful to his Word and to his commands. We need only remember that “all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” (Romans 8:28)

WHAT DO YOU REALLY WANT: PROSPERITY OR DEPENDENCY?

Shapiro: A Tale of Two Countries
GOP USA – Ben Shapiro – 10/31/2012
Fairness lies at the root of the Democratic agenda. It's a leveling agenda, not a growth agenda. What's more, it's a philosophy of constant revolution since ultimate fairness can never be achieved in a world where we are all blessed with different gifts. The philosophy that prizes fairness above all else -- at least in material and cultural terms -- can never achieve human happiness, since such fairness can never be attained. And even if it could be attained, it would require unbelievable levels of suppression. The human spirit is not built to serve the god of fairness.
Prosperity and strength lie at the root of the Republican agenda. Conservatives don't support lower taxes because we hate the poor.
Conservatives support lower taxes because lower taxes create prosperity for everyone. Individuals always know more about their lives than any bureaucrat does. They know more about their needs and wants. They know which products they require, and they know how to find the best deal. No government can better distribute resources than individuals making individual decisions can. Competitive markets have done more to create wonderful products and raise the quality of living across the globe than any other institution.
Central planning does not create wealth. It merely redistributes poverty.
When it comes to America's role in the world, conservatism does not rely on America to be one among many. We must be proud of our role as a global leader. Our values are superior to those of other countries. Our system, prizing limited government and preserving individual liberties, is the greatest system of government ever devised. Why would we run from the honor of leading? Why would we shirk that responsibility? Most importantly, if we wish to see the world a happier place, why would we deny to others the opportunity to share in our lot, especially if it preserves our interests to do so?
Mitt Romney knows all this. Barack Obama does not.

THE POOR FIND HOPE WITH CONSERVATIVES

Paul Ryan: How Conservatism Helps the Poor
The Foundry – David Azerrad – 10/25/2012
Ryan’s argument unfolds in seven steps:
  1. Define and reclaim the mantle of the American Dream. “We are here in partnership on behalf of an idea—that no matter who your parents are, no matter where you come from, you should have the opportunity in America to rise, to escape from poverty, and to achieve whatever your God-given talents and hard work enable you to achieve.”
  2. Recognize the obstacles that many face. “Too many children, especially African-American and Hispanic children, are sent into mediocre schools and expected to perform with excellence.… There is something wrong in our country when 40 percent of children born to parents in the lowest fifth of earners never know anything better.… In this war on poverty, poverty is winning.”
  3. Big government doesn’t help the poor. “With a few exceptions, government’s approach has been to spend lots of money on centralized, bureaucratic, top-down anti-poverty programs. The mindset behind this approach is that a nation should measure compassion by the size of the federal government and how much it spends. The problem is, starting in the 1960s, this top-down approach created and perpetuated a debilitating culture of dependency, wrecking families and communities.”
  4. Conservatism isn’t a code word for selfishness. “Well, to hear some tell it, we think everybody should just fend for themselves. But that’s just a false argument—a straw man set up to avoid genuine debate.… I believe in true compassion and upward mobility.”
  5. A strong economy helps the poor. “Many of those living in poverty today were in the middle class just a few years ago. We can help them regain the ground they’ve lost, with a focus on growth all across the American economy.”
  6. Civil society is the great alternative to big government. “Part of what makes America great is that when we don’t succeed, we look out for one another through our communities.… There’s a vast middle ground between the government and the individual. Our families and our neighborhoods, the groups we join and our places of worship—this is where we live our lives. They shape our character, give our lives direction, and help make us a self-governing people.”
  7. And of course we believe in a strong safety net. “Where government is entrusted with providing a safety net, Mitt Romney and I have our own vision for how to keep it strong. It is a vision that leaves the failures of the past in the past, and proposes instead to build on those reforms that have worked.”

COMMENTARY FROM A CITIZEN

I am appalled that our congress, our president and out supreme court (purposely not capitalized because they do not deserve it) have squashed the life out of the United States of America with the Obama care law. It is truly time to take back our country from the progressive elitists running it. The ones in favor of this are all nothing but a bunch of power hungry totalitarians.

Vote at the polls for true believers in the Constitution or we will all die slaves. We must legally fight this abhorrent dictatorship we presently live under. We no longer have freedom or liberty. Obama is declaring himself king (god) of the world. We will soon have no choice of worshiping God as we see fit. Our lives are at the whim of the dictator.
