This hotspot was identified by the IPCC as the penultimate evidence that global warming was accelerating, causing a "tipping point" cascade of catastrophic events."

It looks like the science isn’t settled. Leaked documents obtained by the Associated Press show that the U.S. government and several European governments tried to get climate scientists to downplay the lack of global warming over the past 15 years.

The highly anticipated United Nations report on global warming is expected to affirm the link between human activity and global warming, but scientists are still having trouble explaining away the lull in rising global temperatures over the past 15 years despite rapidly rising greenhouse gas levels.

The lull in global warming has been noted by skeptics to show the flaws behind the science and the theory that human activities, primarily through burning fossil fuels, causes global temperatures to rise.

A poll of 22,000 people internationally in 2012 revealed that environmental concerns are at their lowest point in 20 years.

The scam is losing traction. This is creating panic among the scammers.

While respondents clearly still had grave environmental concerns, fewer people were “very concerned” about various environmental issues than at any point in the last 20 years. The sharpest decrease in global concern occurred over the last two years.

When the hacker broke into the emails of Great Britain’s #1 global warming propaganda outfit in December of 2009, just before the Copenhagen meeting, he then posted emails showing blatant discrimination against rival views. The head of the outfit, Phil Jones, stepped down.

The Copenhagen meeting collapsed. World leaders decided at the last minute not to attend.

The GW hypesters will find it difficult to reignite the flame. The public finally got tired of the story. Temperatures have not risen since 1999. The Global Warmers even had to substitute a new slogan, “climate change.” It just does not have the same pizazz.  (Maybe because climate changes ever five minutes everywhere on earth!)

. . . climate authorities' data, accumulated from more than 30,000 research stations, shows that the world's temperature has not risen for a decade and a half.  

It didn't exactly matter when the fundamental claims of Al Gore's fiction An Inconvenient Truth were shown to be false.  Rises in atmospheric CO₂ concentrations have not driven historic global temperature increases as claimed . . .

. . . the sheer proliferation of information.  Never before in mankind's history has such a wealth of knowledge been so accessible to such vast numbers of people.  This circumstance not only allows for tremendous ease in the sharing of ideas, but also multiplies the stakes massively if one of those ideas finds popularity and the rewards start to flow.  That such fame, wealth, and adulation can provide powerful motivations for the abandonment of moral and intellectual integrity is easy to see. 

In the end, nations are not so different from the people that populate them.  In that, it behooves each to examine closely what it is he has chosen to worship.  Sometimes, the answers to be found under such scrutiny are uncomfortable.  But if we are steadfast -- we might be surprised by exactly whom we choose to worship.

GLOBAL WARMING CAUSED BY SUN SPOTS

Now the most embarrassing piece of evidence yet has made its appearance at that super-sophisticated physics lab over in Switzerland where they put atomic particles through their very fast paces.

This time CERN's researchers have found that nearly half of the global warming observed of late isn't traceable to man's activities after all but to sunspots, specifically the fluctuations in solar cosmic rays that promote cloud formation. (I don't understand it, either, but I'll take the textbooks' word for it.)

Whatever the scientific validity of the physicists' findings, it's dynamite politically. As CERN's director, Professor Rolf-Dieter Heuer, must have well understood. Because, even before the experiment's findings were published, he told his scientists to "present the results clearly but not interpret them" -- lest they find themselves entering "the highly political arena of the climate-change debate."

Evidence of Climate change cycles throughout earth's geologic history - without man or manmade industry.
Source of Global warming/Climate Change? I'll go with the Fireball. We are all scientists - some just don't have a degree.

READER COMMENT:  I especially enjoyed a Myth Busters episode in which they attempted to find out whether a vehicle with the windows rolled down or with the windows rolled up and the air conditioning on got better fuel consumption. First they used a computer model in the vehicle and it showed that the air-conditioned one got better gas mileage. However, not to be satisfied with that, they had two identical vehicles which they drove each with a given amount of gas. They were surprised when the vehicle with the windows down won. I have thought of that often as I listen to those who are so certain that the computer models are correct when the weather refuses to cooperate!
