Reporters who watch abaortions tell of their brutal reality
LifeNews - Sarah Terzo - 1/30/2013

This article contains multiple accounts by reporters of their feelings after viewing the remains of an abortion--tiny baby remains

It was easy to shrug off an aborted pregnancy as nothing more than a sack of blood and globs of tissue – as many pro-choice activists did- if one never saw fetal remains, or products of conception (POC) as they were known in medical circles. But the nurses, medical assistants, and doctors who worked inside procedure rooms … knew that an eleven-week-old POC harbored tiny arms and legs and feet with toes. At twelve weeks, those tiny hands had tiny nails. Although the fetal head was too small at this stage to withstand the evacuation machine’s suction, pieces of face- a nose and mouth, or a black eye…were sometimes found in the aftermath[.]
… Later abortions spawned even more gruesome fetal remains … the head did not come out whole during the evacuation, but the legs and arms and rib cage made it through intact. The hand of a second trimester fetus, as a Preterm doctor described it, seemed big enough to shake.
Over 55 million and counting are Gone from abortion

What our Framers Knew:  The Cconstitution, Vattel, and "Natural Born Citizen"
Freedom Outpost - Publius Huldah - 1/29/2013

Very long article discussing original documents on the term "Natural Born Citizen.".  There are dozens of reference articles.

§ 212: Natural-born citizens are those born in the country of parents who are citizens – it is necessary that they be born of a father who is a citizen. If a person is born there of a foreigner, it will be only the place of his birth, and not his country.

Do you see? The republican concept of “natural born citizenship” is radically different from the feudal notion of “natural born subjectship.” Under feudalism, merely being born in the domains of the King made one – by birth – a “natural born subject”. But in Vattel’s Model and Our Constitutional Republic, Citizens are “natural born” only if they are born of Citizens.

Ramsay’s Dissertation sets forth the understanding of the Time, formally stated by Vattel and incorporated by our Framers, that a “natural born Citizen” is one who is born of citizens. And we had no “citizens” until July 4, 1776.

The 12 Ds o f"Progressivism":  Liberals at their words
Patriot Update - Sean Aland - 1/28/2013

In 1832 Noah Webster stated “[I]f the citizens neglect their duty and place unprincipled men in office, the government will soon be corrupted”.  The Democratic Party—the so-called progressive party—is not only corrupt but is wedded to what I call the 12 D’s of progressivism:

We have gone from civil discourse, to uncivil, to corrupt in just three administrations.
Take any politician today, especially a democrat, who gets in trouble and see how many of the 12 D’s they employ. To enable the strategy you need to have a news media that is no longer objective, and panders to those in power, while pushing their own agenda in concert with the politicians. No doubt the mainstream media has sold its soul to the DNC. The media has become the de facto Public Relations arm of the Democrat Party, Obama Whitehouse, and liberals in general. Pravda would be proud.

Family Research Council -

For 103 years, the mission of the Boy Scouts has been "to prepare young people to make ethical choices." Unfortunately, the organization's leadership seems less inclined to make those same choices themselves, as rumors swirl that the Board is on the verge of reversing its longtime policy on homosexuality. To most parents, the news that the Scouts were even considering a change is a shock. After all, it was just seven months ago that the same spokesman told reporters that, after a two-year review, a special committee had unanimously recommended keeping the ban. "The vast majority of parents," Deron Smith had explained, "value their right to address issues of same-sex orientation within their family... at the appropriate time and right setting."

Now, suddenly, after decades of withstanding pressure, lost sponsors, and evictions, the Boy Scouts are a Board meeting away from destroying a century-old legacy of courage in exchange for weak-kneed compromise that pleases no one. According to the press release yesterday, the BSA would peel away the national prohibition on open homosexuality and pass the political hot potato of "sexual inclusion" to individual troops--most of whom won't have the financial means or the will to beat back the coming onslaught. A new policy would only shift the attention to local councils, who would be under unfathomable stress to fall in line with BSA headquarters. And as homosexual activists well know, it will be a lot easier to pick off one council at a time than to take down the entire Boy Scouts of America.

"The Boy Scouts would not, under any circumstances, dictate a position to units, members, or parents," the latest statement reads. "Under this proposed policy, the BSA would not require any chartered organization to act in ways inconsistent with that organization's mission, principles, or religious beliefs." The idea that the Scouts can co-exist under a "morally optional" policy is ridiculous. It's an unworkable solution. Once there's a crack in the moral dam, it's only a matter of time before the entire Scouts crumble under the weight. Sixty-nine percent of Boy Scout troops are chartered by faith-based organizations. Is the BSA willing to turn itself against their will to "satisfy" a small and insatiable fringe?

Meanwhile, Americans (only 42% of whom support this change) want to know: Will a new policy help produce young men with greater moral clarity or responsibility? Will it help make the transition from boy to man easier? These are the questions our nation should be asking the leadership of the Boy Scouts of America. No one can blame the BSA for wanting to put the exhausting conflict of the last 30 years behind them. But throwing up your hands on 103 years of tradition doesn't end the controversy--it begins another. If the Scouts are willing to strip foundational values from their code, can spirituality be far behind? "If they are considering lifting the ban on gays, that's a good thing, that's progress," said the head of American Atheists. "If they lift that bigotry from their requirements, I would hope they remove the rest of the bigotry and admit atheists as well." Once the Scouts have conceded on principle, other attacks are sure to follow.

So what exactly is the incentive? Is it cultural acceptance? Because the Scouts are about to learn that no such thing exists. For every supporter they gain through surrender, they stand to lose hundreds more in active members. Is it money? Because there's no guarantee that the corporate floodgates will open with a localized policy like this one. In fact, it's more likely that UPS, Intel, and other former sponsors will hang on to their checkbooks until there is "full inclusion" at every level. Is it safety? Because unless something changed in the last seven months, the Scouts are still dealing with the fallout of more than 2,000 cases of child molestation with the current policy in place! Can they honestly tell parents that entrusting little boys to men with same-sex attractions is somehow going to reduce the incidence of child sexual abuse? Or is the motivation closure? Because anyone who's been a target of homosexual activists understands: there is no appeasing them. This struggle won't end until there is a national policy eliminating any and all standards of morality. If the Scouts go down this path, before the ink is even dry on this decision, there will be demands to represent and celebrate homosexuality in the Scouts' curriculum, hiring policy, camping arrangements, merit badges, jamboree programming, and a host of other traditions. All these bullies need to topple a 2.9 million-member organization is a foothold. And a naive BSA headquarters is dangerously close to giving them one.

Friends, this is a time of winnowing. And not just for the Boy Scouts. The war of moral evolution is coming to your doorstep, if it hasn't already arrived.

You may be 38 years old, as I happen to be. And one day, some great opportunity stands before you and calls you to stand up for some great principle, some great issue, some great cause. And you refuse to do it because you are afraid... You refuse to do it because you want to live longer... You're afraid that you will lose your job, or you are afraid that you will be criticized or that you will lose your popularity, or you're afraid that somebody will stab you, or shoot at you or bomb your house; so you refuse to take the stand. Well, you may go on and live until you are 90, but you're just as dead at 38 as you would be at 90. And the cessation of breathing in your life is but the belated announcement of an earlier death of the spirit. -Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Now is the time to engage. Before the Boy Scouts make their final decision, it is absolutely vital that they hear from you. Contact Wayne Brock, Chief Boy Scouts Executive, at 972-580-2004, 972-580-2000, or by email at Tell him that you would rather see his organization die standing on character than risk the safety of millions of boys to appease radicals and score political points.

The Boy Scouts of America (BSA) is under siege from homosexual-rights activists within their own ranks!

Two members of their executive board, James Turley, CEO of Ernst & Young, and Randall Stephenson, CEO of AT&T, are behind the aggressive push to have the Scouts embrace homosexuality and allow gay members and leaders into their ranks.

For more than 100 years, the Boy Scouts have enjoyed a rich history and tradition of building moral character and instilling lifelong values that help foster a conscientious, responsible and productive society.

But all that could rapidly change.

As one Scout leader wrote to an Eagle Scout, who is concerned about the effort to co-opt their beloved organization:

“These BSA board members are endeavoring to force their social agenda on 3.6 million Scouts and adult leaders. … They want Scouting to comply with their corporate policies, which have adopted the homosexual agenda under pressure, primarily from the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation.”

Public pension plans $4.4 trillion in hold
Wisconsin Reporter - Kirsten Adshead - 1/23/2013

State and local public legacy costs have become so bloated that every U.S. household would have to contribute nearly $1,400 per year for the next three decades to fully fund the debt-ridden public pension systems.

Lawmakers aren’t blind to the problem.  But, thus far, most have been unable or unwilling to have a serious debate over whether and how to continue public pension programs, many of which are in critical financial condition.

“From the top down, the public is hearing about these pension liabilities and they’re seeing how the services they’re receiving from state-level governments are being increasingly squeezed by the fact that the tax resources have to go more into pensions and less into other things,”

“They have a real effect on people because we’re spending less on teachers and police and firefighters and more on retired teachers, police and firefighters,” he said.

BLOGGER COMMENT:  It's time to give public pension recipients a buyout-purchase an annuity in their name and get that liability off the books of the taxpayers.  That will solve millions of problems for those state and federal employees who make more in retirement for decades than the ordinary citizen who is just scrapping by.

Our children need to learn critical-thinking skills and stay on target.  Common Core standards do not develop these skills and leaves our students disadvantaged compared to other nations.  Our students deserve to have the involvement of their parents.

Wisconsin will be voting for a new State Superintendent of Public Instruction.  At stake is the education of your children, life-long data collected on them throughout their school and eventual working career.

Remember the stimulus money in 2009 that was offered to states to sign up for Common Core, the newest federal bureaucracy on education?  45 states signed on to receive federal money to implement Common Core in their state, before a curriculum had been written up or approved by real educators.  Now we’re finding out that there are serious concerns before we vote.  Should we retain Dr. Tony Evers (who supports Common Core), or consider someone else for our next State School Superintendent?

Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction

Some children in Milwaukee receive vouchers to attend the school of their choice.  Shouldn’t every child in the state have the opportunity to attend the very best school that matches his / her abilities?

I’m PRO-CHOICE, are you?  I’m in favor of PARENTS CHOOSING THE BEST SCHOOL FOR THEIR OWN CHILDREN.  Parents, please educate yourselves about OPPORTUNITIES for your children – SCHOOL CHOICE WEEK.

And challenge the federal initiative called COMMON CORE that federalizes your local school with Washington DC bureaucracy and curriculum while it removes local control (the input of parents).  This is another costly bureaucratic boondoggle that benefits those companies that stand to profit writing Common Core standards and curriculum, which does not align with textbooks, already adopted, purchased, and in use by local school districts.

One-page PDF – Common Core doubles down on No Child Left Behind

Georgia is one of the five states that has refused to adopt Common Core.
Information on their website is applicable for all states.

If you’ve never heard of Common Core (relabeled the “Common Core Georgia Performance Standards” in Georgia), it’s a nationwide initiative designed to herd states into national K-12 standards and national tests – which ultimately will lead to a national curriculum and silence curriculum input from local parents, taxpayers, and educators.

Please be aware that one of the goals of Common Core is the creation of a lifelong DATA BASE on your children.  Most likely your child currently has no credit history, which is a gold mind for identify theft.  Researchers will make application to tap into that data base with the possible of loss of your child’s data.  All states who have signed on to Common Core are required to use the same data collection program, but this has not yet been turned on to the federal level.

Federal stimulus money that was offered to states was to build capacity (bureaucracy) but will not actually benefit children in the education system.

Wisconsin sheriff urges resident to arm themselves
Fox News – 1/27/2013

In the 30-second commercial, Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke Jr. says personal safety is no longer a spectator sport.

"I need you in the game," he says.

"With officers laid off and furloughed, simply calling 911 and waiting is no longer your best option," he adds. "You can beg for mercy from a violent criminal, hide under the bed, or you can fight back. ... Consider taking a certified safety course in handling a firearm so you can defend yourself until we get there."

In an interview with The Associated Press, Clarke said he just wants people to know what their options are. While self-defense isn't for everyone, some people see personal safety as their own responsibility, he said, and they should be trained properly.

"I'm not telling you to `Hey, pick up a gun and blast away.' ... People need to know what they are doing if they chose that method -- to defend themselves," he said.

He was getting old and paunchy
And his hair was falling fast,
And he sat around the Legion,
Telling stories of the past.

Of a war that he once fought in
And the deeds that he had done,
In his exploits with his buddies;
They were heroes, every one.

And 'tho sometimes to his neighbors
His tales became a joke,
All his buddies listened quietly
For they knew where of he spoke.

But we'll hear his tales no longer,
For ol' Joe has passed away,
And the world's a little poorer
For a Soldier died today.

He won't be mourned by many,
Just his children and his wife.
For he lived an ordinary,
Very quiet sort of life.
He held a job and raised a family,
Going quietly on his way;
And the world won't note his passing,
'Tho a Soldier died today.

When politicians leave this earth,
Their bodies lie in state,
While thousands note their passing,
And proclaim that they were great.
Papers tell of their life stories
From the time that they were young
But the passing of a Soldier
Goes unnoticed, and unsung.

Is the greatest contribution
To the welfare of our land,
Some jerk who breaks his promise
And cons his fellow man?

Or the ordinary fellow
Who in times of war and strife,
Goes off to serve his country
And offers up his life?

The politician's stipend
And the style in which he lives,
Are often disproportionate,
To the service that he gives.

While the ordinary Soldier,
Who offered up his all,
Is paid off with a medal
And perhaps a pension, small.
It is not the politicians
With their compromise and ploys,
Who won for us the freedom
That our country now enjoys.
Should you find yourself in danger,
With your enemies at hand,
Would you really want some cop-out,
With his ever waffling stand?

Or would you want a Soldier
His home, his country, his kin,
Just a common Soldier,
Who would fight until the end.

He was just a common Soldier,
And his ranks are growing thin,
But his presence should remind us
We may need his likes again.
For when countries are in conflict,
We find the Soldier's part
Is to clean up all the troubles
That the politicians start.

If we cannot do him honor
While he's here to hear the praise,
Then at least let's give him homage
At the ending of his days.

Perhaps just a simple headline
In the paper that might say:
Pass On The Patriotism!

Unqualified teachers cover up their incompetence by helping students teach
Patriot Udate - David L. Goestch - 1/25/2013

One reason is that leftwing indoctrination has supplanted teaching and learning as the overall thought unstated purpose of public education. Another reason is that liberals do not want young people to be able to read, write, compute, and think critically—it makes them harder to mislead.

There are many reasons for the poor state of public education in America, but in this column I will focus on one of the most disturbing of them: unqualified minority teachers who are given a “pass” in college by affirmative action advocates and, as a result, have to cheat in order to pass their teacher certification tests. Then, as teachers who lack both content mastery and fundamental teaching skills, they face the dilemma of being evaluated in part by how well their students perform on nationally-normed high school tests. This was one of the most contentious issues in the recent teacher strike in Chicago. Teachers’ unions did not want student performance to be part of teacher evaluations, for what should be obvious reasons.
they . .  help their students cheat and the cycle of ignorance and incompetence continues.

Gun violence is urban inner city violence
Tea Party Economist – Gary North – 1/21/2013

Democrats say they want to get guns away from dangerous people. They do not mean people living in their voting districts. They mean in Republican, suburban districts. They are afraid of armed Republicans, not armed Democrats.

Taking away guns in the suburbs looks easier than taking them away in the inner cities. Bureaucrats will go for the safe targets.

Gun Violence is Not a Republican Problem, It’s a Democratic Problem
Front Page Mag - Daniel Greenfield – 1/18/2013

67% of firearm murders took place in the country’s 50 largest metro areas. The 62 cities in those metro areas have a firearm murder rate of 9.7, more than twice the national average. Among teenagers the firearm murder rate is 14.6 or almost three times the national average.

Those are the crowded cities of Obamerica. Those are the places with the most restrictive gun control laws and the highest crime rates. And many of them have been run by Democrats and their political machines for almost as long as they have been broken.
Obama won every major city in the election, . . .  And the higher the death rate, the bigger his victory.

He won New Orleans by 80 to 17 where the murder rate is ten times higher than the national average. He won Detroit, where the murder rate of 53 per 100,000 people is the second highest in the country and twice as high as any country in the world, including the Congo and South Africa. He won it 73 to 26. And then he celebrated his victory in Chicago where the murder rate is three times the statewide average.
These places aren’t America. They’re Obamerica.

Mayors of Obamerican cities blame guns because it’s easier than blaming people and now the President of Obamerica has turned to the same shameless tactic. The NRA counters that people kill people, but that’s exactly why Obamerican leaders would rather talk about the guns.

In 2010, there were 11,078 firearm homicides in the United States and over 2,000 known gang-related killings, over 90% of which are carried out with firearms. Since 1981, Los Angeles alone has had 16,000 gang related homicides. That’s more than twice the number of Americans killed in Iraq and Afghanistan.

This is what Obamerica looks like. It’s a place where life is cheap and illegal guns are as available as illegal drugs. It’s the war that we aren’t talking about, because it’s easier to talk about the inanimate objects being used to fight that war.

America does not have a gun violence problem. Obamerica does. And Obamerica has a gun violence problem for the same reason that it has a drug problem and a broken family problem.
America does not need gun control. It is a mostly law-abiding place. And gun control cannot help Obamerica. Not when its murder rate is driven by gangs who have no trouble obtaining anything; whether it’s legal in the United States or not.

This country does not need to have a conversation about how many bullets should go in a clip. It does need to have a conversation about how many parents should go in a family. It needs to talk about the ghettos of Obamerica and have a serious conversation about broken families and generational dependency.

Obama, like every Chicago politician before him, don’t want to end the violence. The death toll is profitable, not just for rappers writing bad poetry about dealing drugs and shooting rivals, but for the politicians atop that heap who score money and gain power by using the problems of Obamerica as some sort of call to conscience for the rest of the country.

They are an indictment of Democratic mayors and liberal social policy. They are an indictment of Obama.
