STATES PROFESSED FAITH TO RATIFY THE U.S. CONSTITUTION

Were the United States originally established Christian – ON THE STATE LEVEL?
Freedom Outpost –  William Federer – 6/21/2014

Examining the acknowledgements of religion in the State Constitutions at the time those States ratified the U.S. Constitution could give the answer.

DELAWARE, the first State to ratify the U.S. Constitution, stated in its 1776 State Constitution:
"Every person...appointed to any office...shall...subscribe...

'I...profess faith in GOD THE FATHER, and in JESUS CHRIST His only Son, and in the HOLY GHOST, one God, blessed for evermore; and I do acknowledge the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testament to be given by Divine inspiration.'"

PENNSYLVANIA, the second State to ratify the U.S. Constitution, stated in its 1776 State Constitution, signed by Ben Franklin:
"Each member, before he takes his seat, shall...subscribe...

'I do believe in one GOD, the Creator and Governor of the Universe, the Rewarder of the good and the Punisher of the wicked. And I do acknowledge the Scriptures of the Old and New Testament to be given by Divine Inspiration.'"

NEW JERSEY, the third State to ratify the U.S. Constitution, stated in its 1776 State Constitution:
"All persons, professing a belief in the faith of any PROTESTANT sect, who shall demean themselves peaceably under the government...shall be capable of being elected."

GEORGIA, the fourth State to ratify the U.S. Constitution, stated in its 1777 State Constitution:

"Representatives shall be chosen out of the residents in each county...and they shall be of the PROTESTANT religion."

CONNECTICUT, the fifth State to ratify the U.S. Constitution, retained its 1662 Colonial Constitution, which was established PROTESTANT CONGREGATIONAL, till 1818:
"By the Providence of GOD...having from their ancestors derived a free and excellent Constitution...whereby the legislature depends on the free and annual election...The free fruition of such liberties and privileges as humanity, civility and CHRISTIANITY call for."

MASSACHUSETTS, the sixth State to ratify the U.S. Constitution, stated in its 1780 State Constitution, written by John Adams:
"Any person...before he...execute the duties of his...office...[shall] subscribe...'I...declare, that I believe the CHRISTIAN religion, and have a firm persuasion of its truth'...

The legislature shall...authorize the support and maintenance of public PROTESTANT teachers of piety, religion and morality."

MARYLAND, the seventh State to ratify the U.S. Constitution, stated in its 1776 State Constitution:

"No other test...ought to be required, on admission to any office...than such oath of support and fidelity to this State...and a declaration of a belief in the CHRISTIAN religion."

SOUTH CAROLINA, the eighth State to ratify the U.S. Constitution, stated in its 1778 State Constitution:
"No person shall be eligible to a seat...unless he be of the PROTESTANT religion...The CHRISTIAN PROTESTANT religion shall be deemed...the established religion of this State."

NEW HAMPSHIRE, the ninth State to ratify the U.S. Constitution, stated in its 1784 State Constitution:
"No person shall be capable of being elected...who is not of the PROTESTANT religion."

VIRGINIA, the tenth State to ratify the U.S. Constitution, stated in its 1776 State Constitution, Bill of Rights, written with the help of James Madison and George Mason:
"It is the mutual duty of all to practice CHRISTIAN forbearance, love, and charity towards each other."

NEW YORK, the eleventh State to ratify the U.S. Constitution, stated in its 1777 State Constitution:
"The United American States...declare...

'Laws of nature and of NATURE'S GOD...All men are created equal; that they are endowed by their CREATOR with certain unalienable rights...Appealing to the SUPREME JUDGE of the world...A firm reliance on the protection of DIVINE PROVIDENCE'...

People of this State, ordain...the free exercise and enjoyment of religious profession and worship, without discrimination...

Provided, That the liberty of conscience, hereby granted, shall not be so construed as to excuse acts of licentiousness."

NORTH CAROLINA, the twelfth State to ratify the U.S. Constitution, stated in its 1776 State Constitution:
"No person, who shall deny the being of GOD or the truth of the PROTESTANT religion, or the Divine authority either of the Old or New Testaments, or who shall hold religious principles incompatible with the freedom and safety of the State, shall be capable of holding...office."

RHODE ISLAND, the thirteenth State to ratify the U.S. Constitution, retained its 1663 Colonial Constitution till 1843, which stated:
"By the blessing of God...a full liberty in religious concernements...rightly grounded upon GOSPEL principles, will give the best and greatest security...in the true CHRISTIAN faith and worship of God...They may...defend themselves, in their just rights and liberties against all the enemies of the CHRISTIAN faith."

The Journal of the U.S. House recorded that on March 27, 1854, the 33rd Congress voted unanimously to print Rep. James Meacham's report, which stated:

"At the adoption of the Constitution, we believe every State - certainly 10 of the 13 - provided as regularly for the support of the Church as for the support of the Government...

Down to the Revolution, every colony did sustain religion in some form. It was deemed peculiarly proper that the religion of liberty should be upheld by a free people...

Had the people, during the Revolution, had a suspicion of any attempt to war against Christianity, that Revolution would have been strangled in its cradle."

WHERE IS YOUR FAITH: GOVERNMENT OR RELIGION???

Statists must wipe out religion and instill blind faith in government
Rush Limbaugh – 3/14/2013

CALLER: But I understand what religion is. Faith is about adjusting your life. See, here's where people miss the point. You have to have politics and religions together, and when you understand what they are, they're both useful. But people have them mixed up exactly reversed these days. They're expecting politics from religion and religion from politics. Politics should be... Here's a saying I came up with for politics:

"IT'S NOT FOR THE PEN OF LAW TO RULE THE HEARTS AND MINDS OF MAN. IT'S FOR THE HEARTS AND MINDS OF MAN TO RULE THE PEN OF LAW."

If you understand that that's what politics should be, and you understand what religion is, and you don't confuse the two, they will both serve you well.

RUSH: Now, as to our last caller, what was the man's name, Mr. Snerdley? Doug from Louisville. This guy, I'll tell, he was on to something. He said that people are reversing politics and religion. I'm going to paraphrase him. He doesn't exactly say it this way, but what his point was that people -- and this is really on point, and it's very curious. People have blind faith in their politics and doubt their religion. He thinks it should be the other way around. You ought to have total blind faith in your religion because that's what religion is about, is faith. You invest in your religious beliefs. You invest in your church. You invest the trust in that faith. You don't doubt that. It's politics that you're supposed to be a little curious about, uncertain of, question those people. But, no. People have blind faith in their politics and doubt their church.

Look, folks, it's this simple. For leftists -- and leftists today are Democrats. I mean, the Democrat Party is the repository for liberals and leftists today, and their church is the state. There is a reason why Karl Marx and every communist, socialist philosopher has wanted to do away with religion. They want there to be only one faith: the state. Blind, unalterable faith in the state. And the church, any church, is a competitor and therefore a threat. People who exhibit blind faith in their religion must be found and turned. I don't care where you go, I don't care what communist philosopher you read, they have to wipe out religion. And they go to great lengths to convince their people that there is no god.

The old Soviets used to do it

The state is not the repository of all the answers. The state is not where you ought to have your blind faith. The state will never care as much about you as you care about yourself. The state will never care for you as much as you care for yourself. The state will never be as concerned about you as you will be for yourself. But it's hideous. And so that's why all these leftists in the media and elsewhere constantly attack the Catholic Church and the pope. Competitors. They are competitors. That's why they must be discredited or manipulated, intimidated into reforming. It won't happen, but that's what the effort is and why it will never go away.

NO COMMUNION FOR PRO-ABORTION POLITICIANS

New Pope:  No Communion for Pro-Abortion Politicians
Breitbart – Breitbart News – 3/13/2013

New Pope Francis I is a conservative in the mold of his predecessor, Pope Benedict XVI and Pope John Paul II. That’s especially true on the issue of abortion, which he called a “death sentence” for the unborn in 2007. “We aren’t in agreement with the death penalty,” he said during that speech, “but in Argentina we have the death penalty. A child conceived by the rape of a mentally ill or retarded woman can be condemned to death.”

In the Aparecida Document, a document that represents a joint statement by Latin American church leaders but presented by Francis in 2007, the leaders stated, “we should commit ourselves to ‘eucharistic coherence,’ that is, we should be conscious that people cannot receive holy communion and at the same time act or speak against the commandments, in particular when abortions, euthanasia, and other serious crimes against life and family are facilitated. This responsibility applies particularly to legislators, governors, and health professionals.”

WHERE IS YOUR FAITH? IN GOD? IN GOVERNMENT?

The Death of American Religion
http://townhall.com/columnists/benshapiro/2012/11/21/the_death_of_american_religion
Townhall -- Ben Shapiro -- 11/21/2012

The secular community looks to one source: the state. Where the religious believer understands that it is immoral to deprive someone else of their property by force, even when such stealing is given legal cover by the state, the secularist believes that the morality of redistributionism takes precedence over the morality of respect for the rights of others. The same folks who voted for gay marriage and abortion voted for a broad expansion of the state and for higher tax rates.

That's not because Republicans are pro-life and pro-traditional marriage; even if Republicans ignored the issues -- as, indeed, Mitt Romney tried to do -- secularists would still link a larger state with a pro-abortion, pro-same sex marriage position. That's because the same position that rejects the sanctity of unborn life tends to reject the sanctity of private property; both are based on the John Locke-ian premise that man is special in the universe, and that the product of his labor is an extension of his special place in the universe. Ignore man's Godly origins and his property becomes a dispensable commodity rather than a fulfillment of a divine mission.

More than that, the religious society rests on two fundamental principles: personal responsibility and belief in responsibility to future generations. Secularism rejects both principles. Personal responsibility becomes societal responsibility in the secular view; we are all shaped by our genetics and our environment, both of which are out of our control. How, then, can we be held responsible for our actions?

The best hope for a return to fundamental American principles is a return to the fundamental American philosophy embodied on our coinage: E Pluribus Unum on one side, In God We Trust on the other.

MOCKING GOD INVITES HIS WRATH

God will not be mocked
Patriot Update – Rhonda Bauer – 11/14/2021
America has tasted the poisonous fruits of lust, pride, passion, and envy – sloth, frivolity, iniquity and entitlement. She has tasted of their sweet deception and found it irresistible. She has danced in the streets, intoxicated by the very poison that will be her undoing.
America has rebelled against God. She has shaken her fist at Him and arrogantly cried, “We don’t need you. We don’t want you. We know better than you. Now go away.”
And so He’s going away.
I grieve for my children. I grieve for America’s children. Evil won on Tuesday. An arrogant and rebellious nation has chosen, for her leader, an arrogant and rebellious man, whose arrogant and rebellious party has, as Pastor John MacArthur put it, “adopted the sins of Romans 1 as their platform.”
“This is a new day in our country,” he lamented. “Parties that used to differ on economics, now differ dramatically on issues that invade the realm of God’s law and morality.”
We have mocked God.
God will not be mocked.
Millions of Americans looked evil in the eye and adopted it,” wrote Liberty Counsel’s Mat Staver the day after the election. “Abortion, same-sex marriage and immorality carried the day.”
Indeed, evil carried the day. America has willfully chosen a Democratic platform – a Romans 1 platform – upon which to stand. We have chosen a party that thrice denied God, and then returned his name in vain – amid deafening boos – to its platform.
Indeed, they have invited God’s wrath. Our president has invited God’s wrath. We all, through act or omission, have invited God’s wrath.
Those of us who believe needn’t win every battle – any battle – to which we are consigned. We need only remain obedient. We need only remain faithful to his Word and to his commands. We need only remember that “all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” (Romans 8:28)

CATHOLICS REFUTE VICE PRESIDENT’S DEBATE STATEMENTS

USCCB responds to inaccurate statement of fact on HHS mandate made during Vice Presidential Debate
10/12/2012
"With regard to the assault on the Catholic Church, let me make it absolutely clear. No religious institution—Catholic or otherwise, including Catholic social services, Georgetown hospital, Mercy hospital, any hospital—none has to either refer contraception, none has to pay for contraception, none has to be a vehicle to get contraception in any insurance policy they provide. That is a fact. That is a fact."
This is not a fact. The HHS mandate contains a narrow, four-part exemption for certain "religious employers." That exemption was made final in February and does not extend to "Catholic social services, Georgetown hospital, Mercy hospital, any hospital," or any other religious charity that offers its services to all, regardless of the faith of those served.
HHS has proposed an additional "accommodation" for religious organizations like these, which HHS itself describes as "non-exempt." That proposal does not even potentially relieve these organizations from the obligation "to pay for contraception" and "to be a vehicle to get contraception." They will have to serve as a vehicle, because they will still be forced to provide their employees with health coverage, and that coverage will still have to include sterilization, contraception, and abortifacients. They will have to pay for these things, because the premiums that the organizations (and their employees) are required to pay will still be applied, along with other funds, to cover the cost of these drugs and surgeries.
For more details, please see USCCB's regulatory comments filed on May 15 regarding the proposed "accommodation": www.usccb.org/about/general-counsel/rulemaking/upload/comments-on-advance-notice-of-proposed-rulemaking-on-preventive-services-12-05-15.pdf

LIBERAL CHURCHES ARE JUST LIKE LIBERALS

THERE IS LITTLE DIFFERENCE
The Leech of Liberty Christianity is Dying
Political Outcast – Eric Rauch – 7/16/2012
. . . the more concessions the Church has made to the social whims and fancies of political liberals (currently in the form of social justice and homosexual marriage), the more irrelevant it has become.
Liberalism, as a general rule, doesn’t create anything. Like a leech, liberalism—whether political, religious, or otherwise—feeds off of what is already in existence. Without a host, liberalism cannot survive on its own. Liberalism is negative in the sense that it is always declaring what it does not believe, but has a much more difficult time declaring what it does. Try this sometime: ask your politically or religious (they’re usually the same people anyway) liberal co-worker what he believes about any number of topics and before he completes his second sentence he will be bashing conservative ideals. In other words, he will flip the conversation from being one of discussing his own ideals to one of degrading the ideals of his opponent.
The primary difference between liberals and conservatives is not the necessity of social reform, but the funding of social reform. Liberals believe the civil government should be the primary funding and acting agent; conservatives believe that citizens should be the primary funding and acting agents.
Social reform is meaningless when it is only done under the compulsion of civil government.
“Today, by contrast, the leaders of the Episcopal Church and similar bodies often don’t seem to be offering anything you can’t already get from a purely secular liberalism.” Exactly. And this is because the liberal mainline churches have become the exclusive property of the political left.

MAN WANTS IT HIS WAY, NOT GOD'S WAY

Watch and listen to the first video - 6.5 minutes long - explains it very well as to why America is doom.

Man rejects God and His natural laws. Man only wants to have his manmade laws and they can change as he sees fit. God lets man fall to his own vices and mankind eventually ends in pain and suffering from his own choices. That's pretty much what John Roberts said as well.

Watch it a few times to let it sink in.

GOOD FRIDAY, THEN THE RESURRECTION ON EASTER

THE SCIENTIFIC DEATH OF JESUS, THEN THE RESURRECTION

At the  age of 33, Jesus was condemned to the death penalty.
At the time crucifixion was the "worst" death. Only the worst criminals condemned to be crucified. Yet it was even more dreadful for Jesus, for unlike other criminals condemned to death by crucifixion, Jesus was nailed to the cross by His hands and feet, rather than tied...

Each nail was 6 to 8 inches long.

The nails were driven into His wrist. Not into His palms as is commonly Portrayed. There's a tendon in the wrist that Extends to the shoulder. The Roman guards knew That when the nails were being hammered into the Wrist, that tendon would tear and Break, forcing Jesus to use His back Muscles to support himself, so that He could breathe.

Both of His feet Were nailed together. Thus He was forced to support Himself on the single nail that Impaled His feet to the cross. Jesus could Not support himself with His legs for long because of the pain, so He was forced to alternate between arching His Back and using his legs just to continue to Breath. Imagine the struggle, the pain, the Suffering, the courage. Jesus endured this  Reality for over 3 hours.

Yes, Over 3 hours! Can you imagine this kind of Suffering? A few minutes before He died, Jesus stopped bleeding. He was simply pouring water From his wounds.
From common images we see wounds to His hands and feet and even the spear wound to His side...

But do we remember the many wounds Made to his body. A hammer  Driving large nails through the wrists, the feet overlapped  And a nail hammered through the arches, then a  Roman guard piercing His side with a spear. And...  Before the nails and the spear, Jesus was whipped and  beaten.  The whipping was so severe that it tore the Flesh from His body. The beating so horrific that His  Face was torn and his beard ripped from His face. The Crown of thorns (two to three inch thorns) cut deeply into His scalp. Most men Would not have survived this torture.

He had no more blood to bleed out, only water poured from His Wounds.  The Human adult body contains about 3.5 liters (just less than a gallon) of blood.  Jesus poured all 3.5 liters of his blood; He had three nails hammered into His members; a crown of thorns on His head and, beyond that, a Roman soldier who stabbed a spear into His Chest..

All  these without mentioning the humiliation He passed after carrying His own Cross for almost two kilometers, while the crowd  spat in his Face and threw stones (the cross beam was almost 30 kg of weight, to which His hands were nailed).

Jesus had to endure this experience, so that you may have free access to God.

So that your sins can be "washed" away. All  of them, with no exception!

JESUS CHRIST DIED...FOR YOU!

Do not believe that He only died for others (those who go to church or for pastors, bishops, etc).

He died for you!
But when it comes to God, accept the reality, the truth, that JESUS IS THE ONLY SALVATION FOR THE WORLD.

God has special plans for YOU!
Really think about what He went through to save you.

May God bless you!

Take a moment to appreciate the power of God in your life, as you do what pleases Him.

If you are not ashamed to do this, please, follow Jesus' instructions.

"Everyone therefore who acknowledges me before others, I also will acknowledge before My Father in heaven; but whosoever denies Me before  others, I also will deny before My Father in  heaven".  Matthew 10:32 & 33

And after the Cross, THE RESURRECTION!

WHAT DO GOOD FRIDAY AND EASTER MEAN TO YOU?
LifeNews.com – Bryan Kemper – 4/6/2012

When I think of Good Friday and Easter I think of the first time I understood what love is. I think of the first time I ever felt that I mattered and that I was worth something. When I see an image of Christ on that Cross I know that my whole life of thinking I was just a loser was a lie and that I had value. When I think of Christ rising from the tomb, I understand what Forgiveness is and realized how to conquer all the garbage I let into my life. When I think of Easter I realize that I was never truly lost, but that Christ was there for me all along.
