Advocate,’ on college campuses and in front of abortion offices. The magazine details baby development and the
abortion procedure. Handing this out
saves lives when young Moms and young Dads see the truth.
I remember handing the magazine to a
young male who told me that is was too late because his girlfriend was already
inside. … I asked him to read the magazine anyway… I watched him flip through
the pages in his car from the sidewalk. I watched him hold his head in his
hands, and he let out a gut-wrenching sigh. … He held his head in his hand and
kept saying, “This is me. I am that boyfriend who takes my girlfriend for more
than one abortion.” He got out his cellphone and tried to call her and then
sobbed that it was really too late. BUT…he said he would NOT be bringing her
back. He also said IF ONLY YOU WERE HERE AN HOUR EARLIER! That statement really
got me, because I am only one person, and as many people we have on our team it
is often hard to cover and catch all the abortion hours at each mill.

The story reports:
At least 54 abortion
providers across 27 states have shut down or ended their abortion services in
the past three years, and several more clinics are only still open because
judges have temporarily blocked legislation that would make it difficult for
them to continue to operate.
And even the abortion
industry says this isn’t the usual ebb and flow of business:
“This kind of change is
incredibly dramatic,” said Elizabeth Nash, state issues manager at the
Guttmacher Institute, a reproductive health research organization. “What
we’ve been seeing since 1982 was a slow decline, but this kind of change …
[is] so different from what’s happened in the past.”
When President Obama was
elected the first time in 2008, pro-lifers reacted swiftly, and by the 2010
midterm elections, hope and change had actually come in the form of
pro-lifers fighting for the rights of the unborn and enacting legislation
that would battle the new president’s abortion support.
Only history will tell of
the ultimate outcome, but so far the winner of the 2008 and 2012 elections
was actually the unborn, some of whom got to live because sleepy people woke
up from the reality that we had just elected someone who supported virtually
all abortion.

POVERTY PERSISTS BECAUSE OF “PRO-CHOICE” ABORTIONS

Today, according to the
Guttmacher Institute, women with family incomes below the federal poverty level
have more than 40% of
all abortions—even though they make up 14.5%
of America’s women.
These women also have one of
the country’s highest abortion rates: 52 abortions
per 1,000 women. On the other hand, higher-income women with family incomes
at or above 200% of the poverty line have a rate of nine
abortions per 1,000 women, which is about half the national rate.
Undoubtedly, some of
America’s most vulnerable women and children—the poor—are disproportionately
victimized by Big Abortion, a billion-dollar abortion industry lead by Planned
Parenthood, the elitist, political giant that makes more
than half of its income off of abortions and spreads the myth that it is
the only source of health care for poor women.
The willingness to write
children off for social and economic reasons only goes to show that the
“pro-choice” mentality does not stand for the progress, upward mobility, or
potential of the human mind to choose to live beyond the circumstances it is
born into. Writing children off for social and economic reasons means writing
off the choice to improve their lives. Undoubtedly, “pro-choice” is an unfit
title for the movement.
America’s abortion culture introduces an important catch to
that answer: In a society where the elitism and classism of the abortion
culture holds a significant amount of influence, the American dream is forever
beyond reach for thousands of poor babies.

PAIN-CAPABLE UNBORN CHILDREN ACT GOES UNCHALLENGED

a key pro-life
initiative—the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act—is now officially the
law of North Dakota.
Signed by Governor Jack Dalrymple on April 16, it was to take effect today. It
did, because it went unchallenged by the usual suspects such as the Center for
Reproductive Rights.
North Dakota joins Nebraska,
Kansas, Idaho, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Georgia, Alabama, Texas, and Arkansas in
enacting laws that say that babies cannot be aborted from the point that
compelling medical evidence demonstrates the child can feel pain—20 weeks.
New information paved the
way for legislation to protect these unborn children from the horrific pain
inflicted during an abortion.
Balch recently told ABC News
that she sensed a deep reluctance on the part of abortion advocates to
challenge “pain capable” laws in federal courts, a precursor to a potential
hearing at the Supreme Court.
“I’ve been in this movement
for over 40 years and it used to be the norm that whenever a state passed a
piece of legislation, our opponents would run immediately and get an
injunction,” Balch said. “The pain capable laws are the exception.”

“As my mother told the audience that day, she did not begin to heal until she understood the reality and victimhood of her aborted child. She realized that whatever hardship the baby might have caused her, it could not compare to the pain she was suffering in the wake of abortion. As long as she rationalized her choice with the notion that having a baby would have ruined her life, her secret grief festered. But one bright afternoon at her kitchen table, a moment of realization came full force. There was no moral basis for her abortion. Her so-called choice had ended the life of an innocent human being who was her own child. When she embraced these difficult truths, she was finally able to acknowledge her grief, find the peace she longed for, and begin the healing process.”
The pro-abortionist wants the post-aborted woman to continue living a lie, and leave her in emotional bondage.
The pro-lifer desires to help acknowledge the truth and set her free.

Medical Examiner’s office denied
a request from a leading pro-life Catholic priest to give the babies abortion
practitioner Kermit Gosnell killed in brutal infanticides, official say
the babies were cremated and buried.
The city said it followed
its normal procedures by conducting cremation of the bodies of the 47 babies,
according to city spokesman Mark McDonald said.
Father Pavone told LifeNews
he is upset by the decision. The National Director of Priests for Life said:
“There is no need for the
Medical Examiner to have some hidden, secret burial as if we are to be ashamed
of these babies. These babies are not unclaimed. They are claimed and have been
named by us, because they are our brothers and sisters. We will therefore have
a national funeral service for these babies, even without the bodies. We will
involve the entire pro-life movement and all people of good will, and more
information will be announced shortly. Moreover, we want to know exactly where
the remains of these children will be placed.”
“In April, we requested
permission from the Philadelphia Medical Examiner to bury these children,” Fr.
Pavone stated. “The nation was stunned to learn how Dr. Gosnell killed these
children, and then stored their bodies in cat food containers and freezers. Now
we have an opportunity to treat them better, by at least honoring their bodies
with a proper funeral and burial.”

Planned Parenthood Wisconsin shuts down clinic after Walker signs abortion law

The
ultrasound bill Governor Scott Walker signed on Friday has already paid
dividends. The Planned Parenthood abortion business has shut down one clinic in
Appleton and another facility end abortions at
another center in Green Bay.

The law also requires that
in order to legally perform an abortion, a doctor must have admitting
privileges at a hospital within 30 miles of where the abortion will occur.
Planned Parenthood says that
provision will force its Appleton clinic to
close, and will lead to long waiting lists in Milwaukee.
“If there’s a long waiting
list, that’s a real problem for women getting access. It’s a problem for their
health. It can lead to tragic consequences. Just the sheer distance is a
tremendous barrier,” Huyck said.
Planned Parenthood says the
law will have an immediate impact. It is preparing to close its Appleton clinic on Monday.
That would mean abortions in
Wisconsin would not be available north of Madison, and after the
19th week of pregnancy would not be available anywhere in the state, according
to the suit.

Today, Governor Walker
signed Senate Bill 206 (Sonya's Law) into law. This important new law requires
that women seeking abortions in Wisconsin
be given the opportunity to see their unborn children through ultrasound. The
type of ultrasound used is determined by the woman after all options are
explained to her. Sonya's Law also requires that an abortionist have admitting
privileges at a hospital within 30 miles of the abortion clinic
.
"We thank Governor
Walker for signing this important piece of legislation into law," said
Armacost. "Sonya's Law will empower women to make truly informed decisions
regarding how they will proceed with their pregnancies and will protect the lives
of women who experience complications after their abortions."
Planned Parenthood of
Wisconsin and Affiliated Medical Services announced that they will file a
federal lawsuit challenging the law.
"The announcement of an
impending lawsuit is no surprise to anyone," said Susan Armacost,
Legislative Director of Wisconsin Right to Life. "It appears that the
court challenge will focus on the hospital admitting privileges requirement.
Apparently, Wisconsin's
abortion clinics don't believe their abortionists need to have hospital
privileges at a hospital located within 30 miles of their clinic....or anywhere
at all. Currently, when a woman
experiences hemorrhaging or other life-threatening complications after an
abortion in Wisconsin, the clinic puts her in an ambulance and sends her to a
hospital ALONE where she is left to her own devices to explain her medical
issues to the emergency room staff. The abortionist who performed the abortion
is nowhere to be seen. This deplorable situation must change."
Armacost said the new law is
on sound constitutional footing. Nine other states have passed laws requiring
abortion doctors to have hospital admitting privileges. Missouri's admitting privilege law was
challenged and upheld by the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals.

If you take those preterm babies when they are adults, they seem to be processing language with different parts of the brain. Although their scores on standardized testing of language skills were the same as controls born at term, the preterm born adults were using pathways in their cerebellum to process language, but not the term born adults. This seems to be new evidence of the plasticity of the brain, which develops differently if you are born very preterm, the average gestation of the subjects was 28 weeks.

Wisconsin Senate passes bill
requiring ultrasounds before abortions

The bill passed 17-15 with
all Republicans in support and Democrats against. It now heads to the Assembly,
which was expected to pass it on Thursday. Gov. Scott Walker said Tuesday he
would sign it into law.
Republican Sen. Mary Lazich
gave an impassioned defense of the measure she sponsored, saying it was a small
step that would protect women by giving them more information about the
decision they have to make.
“In the last 5-10 years I’ve
become more and more aware of women suffering from abortion trauma,” Lazich
said. “I, we, stand with women for health care.”
