ARMY SURPLUS IN NEENAH, WI

WHO'S WATCHING THE POLICE STATE

Earlier this month, the New York Times ran a story with the unsettling headline: “War Gear Flows to Police Departments.”

With a dateline from the small Wisconsin town of Neenah, the story explained how local police departments are acquiring former combat equipment like M-16s, grenade launchers, silencers, and mine-resistant armored vehicles – often with little public notice. These tools are bolstering forces that already look a lot like military units as their SWAT teams see more and more action for increasingly tame situations.

It makes you wonder - why in the world do police in small, quiet towns of just a few thousand people need the same weapons used to fight the Taliban?

That’s a question we’ve been asking for some time now. Indeed, before mainstream outlets became widely aware of this trend, Watchdog.org was on the ground telling the story as the shift began to occur.

Months earlier, in April, New Mexico Watchdog journalist Rob Nikolewski reported on a commercial by the Hobbs Police Department that played up law enforcement’s military tactics, featuring cops shooting guns, helmeted officers bursting into rooms, and armored vehicles. The story was picked up by the Drudge Report, and civil-liberty advocates raised concerns over whether this was the sort of message police should be sending to new recruits.
Nikolewski suspected that other small-town police departments were acting the same way (Hobbs has a population of only 35,000), and he was right. The next week, he reported in a follow-up story that the small, relatively peaceful cities of Newport BeachCalifornia and Springdale, Arkansas had produced similar commercials.

Watchdog.org reporter Dustin Hurst similarly found the police state pressing forward in Preston, Idaho, of all places. The police force for this city of only 5,000 people had recently acquired an MRAP, a military-grade vehicle previously used on the streets of Iraq and Afghanistan designed to protect soldiers from roadside bombs.

“The city’s crime checks in far below the U.S. average,” Hurst noted, “and there hasn’t been a murder there since 2006. The city’s not exactly a crime-ridden hell hole where police might need an ambush-resistant and bomb-proof troop carrier.”

Subsequent Watchdog.org stories only confirmed this trend. In Minnesota, reporter Tom Seward found that as America scales down military action abroad, all sorts of military equipment is essentially there for the taking by local law enforcement. He cited a Department of Public Safety video that ticks off the list: armored vehicles, helicopters, handcuffs, riot shields, cranes, fuel tankers, rifles, pickups, holsters, bayonets and grenade launchers.
Militarization, Seward noted, is already well underway in Minnesota. Nearly 2,000 M-16 rifles and more than 600 M-14 rifles have been acquired by local law enforcement over the past two decades, along with 24 armored trucks, seven mine-resistant ambush protected vehicles and seven Humvee utility trucks, which will be used by SWAT teams and for rescues and other emergency operations.

Meanwhile, back in New Mexico, Watchdog.org filed a public records request and learned that nearly 20 law enforcement agencies across the state — from the biggest city to some of the smallest — have received MRAPs. Perhaps most absurd of all, that list of agencies included the campus police department at New Mexico State University!
It isn’t just with military-grade equipment that local police are ramping up their capabilities. Watchdog.org technology reporter Josh Peterson has found that they are also adopting the latest surveillance technologies. Police in Florida, for instance, can track the location of a suspect’s cell phone without a warrant.

We have no intention of letting this story fall by the wayside. When civil liberties are threatened by government pushing the limits of its powers, Watchdog.org will be there to give citizens the facts about what is happening – before it’s too late.

BARACK OBAMA - TRUTH FROM A TRIPLE AMPUTEE

Triple amputee soldier and hero destroys President Obama in Open Letter
Eagle Rising – Onan Coca – 5/10/2014

This is written by a triple amputee who also grew up in Hawaii.  Read the entire post - read TRUTH about Barack Obama.

You’re just another elitist rich thug who’s pretended to live the rough life growing up in the inner-city. You’re only worried about your own agenda and furthering your party instead of taking care of Americans.  Your inability to be a leader at some of the most critical points has caused both of our wars to fail. You’ve been a joke to most of our veteran community and we have no faith in your ability to lead.

THE NEW GOLDEN BOYS IN THE MILITARY

John Lewis Cook – The new Golden Boys in the Military

THE NEW GOLDEN BOYS IN THE MILITARY
Commentary by Lt. Colonel John Lewis Cook, USA (ret.)

There is nothing normal about these circumstances we are facing today with this administration.    It’s as if Obama has repealed the requirement for any supporting documentation, on any issue.   In short, if the administration says it, it has to be true.   If the administration decides to make gays in the military the new Golden Boys, then they become Golden Boys.    Period.
The dirty little secret is this.   During 2012, the first full year where gays could serve openly in the military, there were 26,000 sexual assaults across all services.   Of these 26,000, 14,000 were male-on-male assaults.   Yes, you read that correctly.   More men in the military were sexually assaulted than women in 2012.

So who is committing the majority of sexual assaults in the military?   Well, it’s the new hero who “is making our country safer,” according to Ms. Jarrett, the homosexual serving openly.   It’s the same homosexual soldier that Chuck Hagel is “so proud of.”   In fact, Hagel is “proud of everything the homosexuals and lesbians are doing.”

Well, do you think he’s proud of this report that was reluctantly released last month that blamed the “homosexual community” for most sexual assaults in 2012?   And why was there a 35% increase in sexual assaults from 2011 to 2012, most involving male-on-male assault?   Could it be that throughout all of 2012, gays were serving openly and apparently taking full advantage of the repeal of Don’t Ask Don’t Tell, came out of the closet in droves, determined to celebrate their liberation with anyone they encountered, regardless of consent?

For anyone who still has doubts about this, then I advise them to read the “ANNUAL REPORT ON SEXUAL ASSAULT IN THE MILITARY,” MAY 2013.   So, what is being done about this epidemic of male rape in the military?   Precious little because if it is forced into the bright light of day, it is an admission that the great gay experiment was a total failure.

About the Author

Lieutenant Colonel John Lewis Cook, United States Army (Retired), “served as the Senior Advisor to the Ministry of Interior in Kabul, Afghanistan, with responsibility for developing the force structure for the entire Afghan National Police.   As of 2012, this force totals 157,000.   From March 2008 until August 2012, his access and intimate associations with all levels of the Afghan government and coalition forces have provided him with an unprecedented insight into the policies which will determine the outcome of the war.   It is this insight, coupled with his contacts and associations throughout Afghanistan that form the basis of Afghanistan:   The Perfect Failure."

REAL MEN, REAL HEROES, REAL HISTORY

A final toast for the Doolittle Raiders
CNN News – Bob Greene – 4/14/2013

Read the whole post at the link above for some history you’ve not learned at public schools.

On Tuesday, in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, the surviving Doolittle Raiders will gather publicly for the last time.
They once were among the most universally admired and revered men in the United States. There were 80 of the Raiders in April 1942, when they carried out one of the most courageous and heart-stirring military operations in this nation's history. The mere mention of their unit's name, in those years, would bring tears to the eyes of grateful Americans.

Now only four survive.

After Japan's sneak attack on Pearl Harbor, with the United States reeling and wounded, something dramatic was needed to turn the war effort around.

Even though there were no friendly airfields close enough to Japan for the United States to launch a retaliation, a daring plan was devised. Sixteen B-25s were modified so that they could take off from the deck of an aircraft carrier. This had never before been tried -- sending such big, heavy bombers from a carrier.

Do the men ever wonder if those of us for whom they helped save the country have tended to it in a way that is worthy of their sacrifice? They don't talk about that, at least not around other people. But if you find yourself near Fort Walton Beach this week, and if you should encounter any of the Raiders, you might want to offer them a word of thanks. I can tell you from firsthand observation that they appreciate hearing that they are remembered.

The men have decided that after this final public reunion they will wait until a later date -- some time this year -- to get together once more, informally and in absolute privacy. That is when they will open the bottle of brandy. The years are flowing by too swiftly now; they are not going to wait until there are only two of them.
They will fill the four remaining upturned goblets.

And raise them in a toast to those who are gone.

BIGGER GOVERNMENT IS LOSING GOVERNMENT

Report:  The Pentagon has no idea how much money it loses to improper payments
The Blaze – 6/14/2013

The GAO isn’t sure how much money is lost to improper payments because, as the report explains, DOD accounting practices are apparently unreliable.
From the report:

“… [the DOD's] long-standing history of pervasive financial management weaknesses, coupled with problematic sampling methodologies and the lack of adequate supporting documentation, contributed to improper payment estimates that were not reliable.

“Things aren’t likely to improve any time soon, either,” the Washington Examiner’s Kelly Cohen reports, “because DOD has not fully addressed the causes following 2009 audit, so the Pentagon remains ‘at risk of continuing to make improper payments and wasting taxpayer funds.’”

READER COMMENT:  Think about this–if you could not account for 1/1,000,000th of this amount, you might be facing CRIMINAL CHARGES by the Internal Revenue Disservice! Think about that!!!! The government DEMANDS under threat of CRIMINAL CHARGES…or WORSE (SWAT TEAMS WITH AR-15′S) that you be to the penny with your reporting to them—

This is why the REAL Tea Party . . . DEMAND a return to government by the consent of the governed and fair/equitable/simple taxes PLUS a reduction in the absurd costs of the Department of Offense and others! We can handle our own Defense, thank you–we don’t need to be killing thousands half way around the world and wasting Trillions of OUR CHILDREN’S future earnings! Screw this kind of mishandling of our resources!

MEMORIAL DAY - 2013

The Path of the Warrior – 5 minutes

I Fought for You – 4 minutes

As I came out of the supermarket that sunny day, pushing my cart of groceries towards my car, I saw an old man with the hood of his car up and a lady sitting inside the car, with the door open. The old man was looking at the engine. I put my groceries away in my car, and continued to watch the old gentleman from about twenty five feet away.

I saw a young man in his early twenties with a grocery bag in his arm walking towards the old man. The old gentleman saw him coming too, and took a few steps towards him.

I saw the old gentleman point to his open hood and say something. The young man put his grocery bag into what looked like a brand new Cadillac Escalade. He then turned back to the old man.  I heard him yell at the old gentleman saying: 'You shouldn't even be allowed to drive a car at your age.' And then with a wave of his hand, he got in his car and peeled rubber out of the parking lot.

I saw the old gentleman pull out his handkerchief, and mop his brow as he went back to his car and again looked at the engine.  He then went to his wife and spoke with her; he appeared to tell her it would be okay. I had seen enough, and I approached the old man. He saw me coming and stood straight, and as I got near him I said, 'Looks like you're having a problem.'

He smiled sheepishly, and quietly nodded his head.  I looked under the hood myself, and knew that whatever the problem was, it was beyond me. Looking around, I saw a gas station up the road, and I told the old man that I would be right back.  I drove to the station and went inside. I saw three attendants working on cars. I approached one of them, and related the problem the old man had with his car.

I offered to pay them if they could follow me back down and help him. The old man had pushed the heavy car under the shade of a tree and appeared to be comforting his wife. When he saw us he straightened up and thanked me for my help. As the mechanics diagnosed the
problem (overheated engine), I spoke with the old gentleman.

When I shook hands with him earlier, he had noticed my Marine Corps ring and had commented about it, telling me that he had been a Marine too. I nodded and asked the usual question, 'What outfit did you serve with?'

He said that he served with the first Marine Division at Guadalcanal, Pelieliu, and Okinawa.  He had hit three of the worst ones, and retired from the Corps after the war was over. As we talked we heard the car engine come on and saw the mechanics lower the hood. They came over to us as the old man reached for his wallet, but was stopped by me. I told him I would just put the bill on my AAA card.

He still reached for the wallet and handed me a card that I assumed had his name and address on it, and I stuck it in my pocket. We all shook hands all around again, and I said my goodbye's to his wife.

I then told the two mechanics that I would follow them back up to the station. Once at the station, I told them that they had interrupted their own jobs to come along with me and help the old man. I said I wanted to pay for the help, but they refused to charge me. One of them pulled out a card from his pocket, looking exactly like the card the old man had given to me. Both of the men told me then that they were Marine Corps Reserves. Once again we shook hands all around and as I was leaving, one of them told me I should look at the card the old man had given to me. I said I would and drove off.

For some reason I had gone about two blocks, when I pulled over and took the card out of my pocket and looked at it for a long, long time.

The name of the old gentleman was on the card in golden leaf and under his name was written: 'Congressional Medal of Honor Society.'

I sat there motionless, looking at the card and reading it over and over.  I looked up from the card and smiled to no one but myself and marveled that on this day, four Marines had all come together because one of us needed help. He was an old man all right, but it felt good to have stood next to greatness and courage, and an honor to have been in his presence.

Remember, as we approach another Memorial Day, OLD men like him gave you, and all of us, FREEDOM for America.

Thanks to those who served and still serve, and to all of those who supported them, and who continue to support them.

America is not at war. The U.S. Military is at war.   America is at the Mall.

If you don't stand behind our troops, PLEASE feel free to stand in front of them!  Remember, Freedom isn't Free. Thousands have paid the price, so that you can enjoy what you have today.

BENGHAZI - OBAMA ADMINISTRATION LEADERSHIP FAILED A VERY CAPABLE MILITARY

U.S. Military:  We could have saved Ambassador Stevens
American Thinker – Jonathon Moseley – 5/25/2013

The U.S. military perfected capabilities after the embassy bombings in Kenya and Tanzania in 1998, the attack on the USS Cole in Yemen in 2000, the 2008 U.S. Embassy bombing in Yemen, and similar events.  Gates emphasized the need for planning; Commanders in Extremis forces plan constantly for all contingencies.

CIF units answer directly to the general for each regional command to eliminate delay.  Therefore, if AFRICOM -- the U.S. military's regional command for matters involving Africa -- had actually wanted to rescue Ambassador Stevens -- and the classified secrets in the Consulate -- the AFRICOM general would have communicated directly with the CIF team on forward deployment in the region.

Panetta testified that the U.S. military could not react because they didn't know the situation on the ground in Benghazi.  In fact, two unmanned drones were overhead, sending real-time video, including infrared and night-vision cameras, back to the national command authority.  Everyone but Panetta seems to know how dumb Panetta's statement was.

Liberal columnist Maureen Dowd commented: "The defense secretary at the time, Leon Panetta, insisted, 'We quickly responded.' But they responded that they would not respond."  Dowd sums it up: "All the factions wove their own mythologies at the expense of our deepest national mythology: that if there is anything, no matter how unlikely or difficult, that we can do to try to save the lives of Americans who have volunteered for dangerous assignments, we must do it."

DRONES - FLY IN THE SKY AND THROUGH THE WINDOW

Roaches, Mosquitoes, and Birds: The coming Micro-Drone Revolution

Canada Free press – John W. Whitehead – 4/15/2013
“[Drones are a] game-changing technology, akin to gunpowder, the steam engine, the atomic bomb—opening up possibilities that were fiction a generation earlier but also opening up perils that were unknown a generation ago.”—Peter Singer, senior fellow at the Brookings Institution

America will never be a “no drone zone.”

That must be acknowledged from the outset. There is too much money to be made on drones, for one, and too many special interest groups—from the defense sector to law enforcement to the so-called “research” groups that are in it for purely “academic” reasons—who have a vested interest in ensuring that drones are here to stay.

At one time, there was a small glimmer of hope that these aerial threats to privacy would not come home to roost, but that all ended when Barack Obama took office and made drones the cornerstone of his war efforts. By the time President Obama signed the FAA Reauthorization Act into law in 2012, there was no turning back. The FAA opened the door for drones, once confined to the battlefields over Iraq and Afghanistan, to be used domestically for a wide range of functions, both public and private, governmental and corporate. It is expected that at least 30,000 drones will occupy U.S. airspace by 2020, ushering in a $30 billion per year industry.

LTC. RICH DEFINES HATE GROUPS ALL BY HIMSELF ON THE ARMY BASE HE COMMANDS

101st Battalion Commander’s outrageous e-mail to subordinates regarding US hate groups

Using the infamous Southern Poverty Law Center as a guide, the lieutenant colonel set out to educate.

Using the subject line of ‘Domestic Hate Groups,’ LTC Jack Rich warned his subordinate leaders that,

Many events have been taking place across the country – just want to ensure everyone is somewhat educated on some of the groups out there that do not share our Army Values.

Before identifying for his troops who the haters in America are, he makes it clear that his email is an action memo:

When we see behaviors that are inconsistent with Army Values – don’t just walk by – do the right thing and address the concern before it becomes a problem.

In other words, this misguided Army ‘leader’ is telling his junior officers that they are to actively intervene with any of their troops that they suspect has ‘hateful’ beliefs.

Commissar Rich identifies the Family Research Council, American Family Association, United States Justice Foundation, Atlas Shrugs, Sharia Awareness Network, Bare Naked Islam, and many other organizations as hate groups.

Thought police have infected the U.S. Military. Never mind that troublesome First Amendment.

Link to LTC Jack L. Rich’s e-mail – 8/10/2012

BLOGGER NOTE:  The First Amendment does not restrict private thoughts, which may or may not lead to acts of discrimination.  For LTC Rich to assume that the difference of opinion (protected by the First Amendment) must be confronted as an act of discrimination makes honest law-abiding citizens cringe.

WHAT’S THE USE FOR HOLLOW TIPS AND MRAP VEHICLES?

Even more warning signs:  Obama poised for hostile military takeover of U.S. – Part 2
Godfather Politics – Da Tagliare – 3/13/2013

To comprehend the significance of 1.6 billion rounds of ammunition: During the height of the war in Iraq, the US Army fired less than 6 million rounds per month.  That means DHS has enough ammunition to supply the US Army for 266.67 months (22.22 years) of intense war.  A portion of the ammunition purchase is hollow point bullets, which have been banned from use in war by international law.  Another portion is specialized sniper ammunition

Currently, the DHS uses approximately 15 million rounds of ammunition every year at their various training facilities.. . . enough ammunition for 106.67 years of training.

What is the justification for the purchase of 1.6 billion rounds of ammunition by the Department of Homeland Security, especially when some of it is illegal to use in war?  Why is Sen. Dianne Feinstein so concerned about private citizens stockpiling ammunition, weapons and using high capacity magazines when the federal government is doing the same time only a thousand times more?

Perhaps the abundance of ammunition goes along with the purchase of ‘Mine Resistant Protected’ MaxxPro MRAP vehicles that are scheduled to be deployed on the streets of America.  The number of vehicles they are purchasing has not been released, but they are part of the 2,717 that have been recently retrofitted by the manufacturer.  The DHS appears to be taking delivery of the armored vehicles through the Marine Corps Systems Command located in Quantico, Virginia.

The scary part of the DHS acquiring MRAP vehicles is that they have been already been spotted in a number of cities throughout the country.  DHS cannot deny their existence. . .

WOMEN IN COMBAT - DEPT. OF DEFENSE IS DELUSIONAL

Some advice on women in combat from a female veteran
HotAir – Jazz Shaw – 1/27/2013
+++++++++++++++++++++
President Obama and his cohorts did a shameful thing last week that, if continued, I believe will be a total disaster to our Army and Marine Corps infantry units and special operations units. Sentry, the author of the below article is a very wise lady who explains very well, the limitations of women and the adverse effects they would have in a ground battle against an enemy army of men.

There are many other military duties that women can do very well, like crew aircraft. Women were not in the cockpit during my Air Force career, but I have met quite a number of present day lady fighter pilots whose male counterparts have told me could be aces.

With the mechanical and hydraulic controls that modern fighters have, muscle strength is not a problem, so they can excel as well as their male counterparts if they have the necessary skills. Many others changes that the now president has made will also prove detrimental, but none with so much potential to be totally disastrous to the morale and efficiency of our armed force as females engaging in hand to hand mortal combat.---
+++++++++++++++++++++
"I’m a female veteran. I deployed to Anbar Province, Iraq. When I was active duty, I was 5’6, 130 pounds, and scored nearly perfect on my PFTs. I naturally have a lot more upper body strength than the average woman: not only can I do pull-ups, I can meet the male standard. I would love to have been in the infantry. And I still think it will be an unmitigated disaster to incorporate women into combat roles. I am not interested in risking men’s lives so I can live my selfish dream.

We’re not just talking about watering down the standards to include the politically correct number of women into the unit. This isn’t an issue of “if a woman can meet the male standard, she should be able to go into combat.” The number of women that can meet the male standard will be miniscule–I’d have a decent shot according to my PFTs, but dragging a 190-pound man in full gear for 100 yards would DESTROY me–and that miniscule number that can physically make the grade AND has the desire to go into combat will be facing an impossible situation that will ruin the combat effectiveness of the unit.

First, the close quarters of combat units make for a complete lack of privacy and EVERYTHING is exposed, to include intimate details of bodily functions.

Second, until we succeed in completely reprogramming every man in the military to treat women just like men, those men are going to protect a woman at the expense of the mission.
Third, women have physical limitations that no amount of training or conditioning can overcome.
Fourth, until the media in this country is ready to treat a captured/raped/tortured/mutilated female soldier just like a man, women will be targeted by the enemy without fail and without mercy.

I saw the male combat units when I was in Iraq. They go outside the wire for days at a time. They eat, sleep, urinate and defecate in front of each other and often while on the move. There’s no potty break on the side of the road outside the wire. They urinate into bottles and defecate into MRE bags. I would like to hear a suggestion as to how a woman is going to urinate successfully into a bottle while cramped into a humvee wearing full body armor. And she gets to accomplish this feat with the male members of her combat unit twenty inches away. Volunteers to do that job? Do the men really want to see it? Should they be forced to?
Everyone wants to point to the IDF as a model for gender integration in the military. No, the IDF does not put women on the front lines. They ran into the same wall the US is about to smack into: very few women can meet the standards required to serve there.

The few integrated units in the IDF suffered three times the casualties of the all-male units because the Israeli men, just like almost every other group of men on the planet, try to protect the women even at the expense of the mission. Political correctness doesn’t trump thousands of years of evolution and societal norms. Do we really WANT to deprogram that instinct from men?
. . . women tend to be shorter than men.

Men, with more muscular legs and bones that carry more muscle mass than any woman can condition herself to carry, can jump higher and farther than women.
When you’re going over a wall in Baghdad that’s ten feet high, you have to be able to be able to reach the top of it in full gear and haul yourself over. That’s not strength per se, that’s just height and the muscular explosive power to jump and reach the top. Having to get a boost from one of the men so you can get up and over could get that man killed.

That muscle mass is also a shock absorber. . . .  a woman is more likely to go down because she can’t absorb the concussion as well as a man can. . . . in hand-to-hand combat the average man is going to destroy the average woman because the average woman is smaller, period. Muscle equals force in any kind of strike you care to perform.

Lastly, this country and our military are NOT prepared to see what the enemy will do to female POWs. The Taliban, AQ, insurgents, jihadis, whatever you want to call them, they don’t abide by the Geneva Conventions and treat women worse than livestock.

Google THOMAS TUCKER and KRISTIAN MENCHACA if you want to see what they do to our men (and don’t google it unless you have a strong stomach) and then imagine a woman in their hands.

ONE Thomasina Tucker is going to mean the men in the military will move heaven and earth to protect women, never mind what it does to the mission.
I present you with Exhibit A: Jessica Lynch. Male lives will be lost trying to protect their female comrades.

I say again, I would have loved to be in the infantry. I think I could have done it physically, I could’ve met almost all the male standards (jumping aside), and I think I’m mentally tough enough to handle whatever came.

BUT I WOULD NEVER DO THAT TO THE MEN. I WOULD NEVER SACRIFICE THE MISSION FOR MY OWN DESIRES. AND I WOULDN’T BE ABLE TO LIVE WITH MYSELF IF SOMEONE DIED BECAUSE OF ME.
- Sentry"

MORE CITIES SHOULD PASS ANTI-DRONE RESOLUTION

City in Virginia Becomes first to pass Anti-Drone Legislation
us News – Jason Koebler – 2/5/2013

The resolution, passed Monday, "calls on the United States Congress and the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Virginia to adopt legislation prohibiting information obtained from the domestic use of drones from being introduced into a Federal or State court," and "pledges to abstain from similar uses with city-owned, leased, or borrowed drones."

The resolution passed by a 3-2 vote and was brought to the city council by activist David Swanson and the Rutherford Institute, a civil liberties group based in the city. The measure also endorses a proposed two-year moratorium on drones in Virginia.

Councilmember Dede Smith, who voted in favor of the bill, says that drones are "pretty clearly a threat to our constitutional right to privacy."

"If we don't get out ahead of it to establish some guidelines for how drones are used, they will be used in a very invasive way and we'll be left to try and pick up the pieces," she says.

"Lawmakers should be looking at [drone privacy] issues now in order to ensure that there are safeguards in place to protect individual privacy from these invasive technologies," she says.

With a lot of these resolutions, although they don't have a lot of teeth to them, they can inspire other governments to pass similar measures," she says. "You can get a critical mass and then it does have influence. One doesn't do much, but a thousand of them might. We want this on [federal and state lawmakers'] radars."

REALITY IS: MEN AND WOMEN ARE DIFFERENT

The Women’s annihilation movement
Townhall – Bi9ll Murchison – 2/5/2013

Male monopoly of the military professions is founded on several realities however blind to such we might have become in our era of political correctness.

Reality No. 1: War requires strength, even in the high-tech, push-button age. Men really are physically stronger than women. Generally this means they fight -- and kill -- better.

Reality No. 2: Women, not men, bear children -- a task central to the survival of civilization, not to say the human race. There's no taint or shame in the historic division of sexual labor -- women working to preserve and maintain and build and grow, men also deputed to build and grow but specializing when necessary in the job of destruction. If that's not how we're constituted, how come nobody ever noticed before?

Reality No. 3: A fundamental male instinct is to protect women at all costs, to keep them out of harm's way when possible, when not to take a bullet for them. The instinct is embedded in human nature as revealed by the testimony of centuries. No honorable, generous, decent civilization would want to remove such an instinct even if it understood the surgical means.

Reality No. 4: We don't maintain a military for "workplace opportunity" purposes. We maintain it to defend the country. Social goals take a backseat to the goal of walloping our enemies, through the deployment of those most qualified to wallop them.
