The Democratic left has fortunately given up a lot of its anti-black policies of its history—history that is now whitewashed (or should that be blackwashed?) by the “history” books in the government schools controlled by Democrat teachers unions: how their party supported slavery, opposed the 13th Amendment that banned it, supported racial segregation and Jim Crow laws, helped formed the KKK, turned fire hoses and dogs on peaceful black protestors, and filibustered Civil Rights legislation. No, the liberals have a much more subtle method. They pretend to help blacks now, by giving them treats like welfare and affirmative action, which are really poisoned apples.
The liberal war on the black family
Walter Williams has often said that welfare could do what slavery, Jim Crow and government imposed racial discrimination could not: break up the black family.
Liberalism has been a poisoned chalice for the black community. But they won’t learn that conservatism is good if they are never informed! Conversely, all the policies they love from Democrats, such as welfare and affirmative action, actually benefit mainly white liberals, but have devastated black families and students.
