READER COMMENT:  The Democratic Party and their politics of Liberalsim has destroyed Black families with welfare. Someone please tell me how liberals look out for Black Americans? By championing releasing black criminals back into their communities? By standing up for rioters? By getting promising black college students into schools they’re likely to flunk out via Affirmative Action?

By making parasitic buffoons like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson into representatives of black Americans in the eyes of most of the country? The biggest obstacle black Americans face today is not racism; it’s the paternalistic, “You poor thing! You need our help to make it day-to-day” attitude of liberals that has shattered the black family in a way that even slavery and Jim Crow laws couldn’t.

READER COMMENT:  Yes, a long time back, say 40 years and beyond, the blacks were strong church goers, and adamant about love, charity, morals and ehtics. but what went wrong?………….The civil rights movement tangles “equality” with the values of “old” and came out a stinking rose. All of a sudden, a bad movement arose, spurred on by the Democrats and the blacks lost their way. Now they are locked onto welfare, food stamps, lawlessness, broken homes, out of wed-lock children, and no God and CHURCH……….It’s a shame, but government didn’t help their plight. In fact, it created it……………ghettos, low education, no ambition, poor education. Back in the day, in Florida, 40 years ago, we interacted with blacks and they were wonderful friends and neighbors. Things, over time, have changed for the worse. And all of the liberal policies have hurt the blacks.
