THE RIGHT THANKS THE LEFT

A Letter of Thanks To The Left

To all leftists, occupiers, union thugs and malcontents,

Thank you! What an election! We couldn't have done it without you. Without your tantrums, outbursts and boorish behavior we might have stayed home for this election. Without your filthy, pot smoking hemp -headed minions occupying, dirtying and damaging our Capitol we might have been complacent. Without your obnoxious protests, boycotts and other actions from your union playbook, we might have sat this one out.

But you couldn't hold back. You couldn't restrain yourselves and behave like adults. You couldn't accept the 2010 election results.

All of you helped turn Wisconsin permanently red. Your Governor, Scott Walker, will not just complete his first term, he is all but assured as many future terms as he seeks. He will be your governor for a long, long time. Get used to it. And his national "rock star" status just might lead him to be your President some day. Just think, it couldn't have happened without you! So to all of you blue fisters, thank you from the bottom of my happy, red heart.

Sincerely,

A Wisconsin taxpayer
READER COMMENT: Interesting. I think that if the left had followed the process instead of running to IL and having a temper tantrum here, that we'd still be talking about and possibly fine-tuning Act-10. Instead, we are no longer talking about it and working on it because the libs decided to roll the dice on a recall that put an end to the topic once and for all.

Further, the Dems by not acting like adults aligned themselves with the craziest of the protestors. None of the Dem denouced the idiocy or did anything at all to distance themselves from Segway Boy and Pink Skirt. That told me that the wildest, out of control, protestors were the ones really in charge and not the more level-headed, willing to work with the system, legislators.

Lastly, the Dems thought that everyone loved them and thought that there antics were adorable. In short, they believed their own press. This allowed the GOP to come across, as they actually were, as the adults in the room. I could not get out of my mind that pic of the fat protestor sleeping in the rotunda. To me, it perfectly embraced the image of folks of what the public servants were all about. Instead of allowing the more moderate protestors to do things that appeared positive, instead of doing things such as obstructing a Special Olympics gathering or the State Fair opening. Why weren't the doing things like volunteering at a Special Olympics gathering or at the State Fair? In short, the protestors couldn't do anything positive so therefore their entire message was negative. Their visceral hate became their message and no one in their right frame of mind would want to ally themselves to hate.
