Tea Party Economist – Gary North –

The Senate must confirm appointments
made by every President. This retains the Senate’s CONSTITUTIONAL AUTHORITY.
The Senate persuaded the House to go
along with a joint surrender to the President. It exempted 170 appointments from any
hearings. These people run the bureaucracies and cannot be
fired.
No more advice. UNIVERSAL
CONSENT.
The name of the law is the
Presidential Appointment Efficiency and Streamlining Act of
2011. The Senate passed the bill 79-20, in
June 2011. The House passed it by 261-116 last month. Obama signed it on August
10.
