OCCUPY WALL STREETERS AND MONKEYS--SOMETHING IN COMMON

In many ways we are not too different from animals of a lower mentality. Here is an example of what you might expect “Occupy Wall Street” would look like in monkeys.
“Frans de Waal is a Dutch primatologist whose research centers on primate social behavior.
Here, he conducts an experiment with two Capuchin monkeys, who are trained to do a simple task for different rewards. One receives a bland slice of cucumber and the other receives a sweet grape.
The recipient of the cucumber begins to rebel at this inequality and Dr. de Waal jokes, "This is basically the [Occupy] Wall Street protest that you see here."”
