Obama brings UN’s gun-grabbing
resolution to Limelight
Godfather Politics – Philip Hodges –

It’s
always about security and preventing terrorism. Why is it that ever since the
United Nations was formed, we’ve had nothing but constant global violence,
terrorism and war? Are we still in the midst of the “war to end all wars?” Why
should we trust them now when they say that this treaty will only regulate
international transfers of guns and have nothing to do with domestic
laws?
Maybe
this particular treaty doesn’t specifically affect U.S. gun laws, but once the U.S. gives them
this power to regulate these international transactions, what’s to stop them
from mandating in the near future that all member nations impose stricter and
stricter gun laws until all law-abiding citizens are completely disarmed? Things
like this usually happen incrementally. We’re the frogs in the water, and
they’re slowly turning up the heat until we boil to
death.
I’d agree that the
UN doesn’t have the authority, but
they think they have the power, so
they’ll do whatever they want in much the same way the Feds trample on state’s
rights without regard for their sovereignty. Our own government doesn’t care
about our Constitution. How much less does the UN care about our Constitution?
Just look at Agenda 21. That was never ratified by a 2/3 majority in the Senate,
and now “ICLEI: Local Governments for Sustainability” programs are all across
U.S. counties and cities implementing
Agenda 21 protocols.
