PLANNED PARENTHOOD CLOSURES

Number of Planned Parenthood clinics drops 23% since 1995 as two more close
LifeNews.com – Jill Stanek – 6/10/2013

I was researching something last week and stumbled on an announcement by Planned Parenthood of Northeast, Mid-Penn & Bucks County in Pennsylvania that it was shuttering its Carlisle clinic.

This is not an abortion mill; it is what pro-lifers call a “feeder” – a conduit to PP abortion mills. But its closure is still a boon for the health and welfare of that community. And Planned Parenthood’s political influence will be removed from the area.

Add this to the news last week that the Planned Parenthood feeder clinic in Herkimer, New York, was also closing, and my latest tally is that the U.S. is down to 722 Planned Parenthoods, from a high in 1995 of 938.

This represents a 23% drop in the number of Planned Parenthoods in 18 years.
Yet, as LifeNews.com noted, the number of abortions the Planned Parenthood abortion giant commits continues to rise every year, and PP has reported over $1 billion in profits annually since its 2006-07 reporting period.

Sixty Abortion clinic workers have quit in the last year
LifeNews.com – Abby johnson – 6/10/2013

What an absolutely incredible first year it has been for And Then There Were None! We are truly in awe about how God has used our ministry to do some incredible things. When we first launched our ministry in June 2012, we estimated that we would hear from about ten abortion clinic workers each year. Boy, did God have other things in store!

We never imagined that we would be hearing from current and former abortionists. We also weren’t expecting that within the first few months, we would have thirty abortion workers leave the industry and come through ATTWN!!
That’s just the beginning, though…

Sixty workers have come through ATTWN this year.

30th abortion clinic closes in 2013 after killing women in abortion
LifeNews.com – Cheryl Sullenger – 6/10/2013

Nova Women’s Healthcare, a Fairfax, Virginia, abortion clinic with a history of botched abortions and at least one patient death, will be forced to close at the end of June.

This closure is one of 30 abortion clinics to close in 2013 alone, more than doubling the number of closures over all of last year.

“With the increased attention on abortion clinic abuses, we are beginning to see a trend toward greater awareness and enforcement. Many of the 30 clinics to close this year have done so due to enforcement measures,” said Troy Newman, president of Operation Rescue. “Others closed due to lack of business, which means the pro-life movement is succeeding at changing the public opinion and behavior toward abortion. In 1991, there were 2,176 surgical abortion clinics in America. After the closure of Nova at the end of this month, there will be only 630 surgical abortion clinics left. While we still have a long way to go to end the barbaric practice of abortion in this nation, we have shown real progress.”
