NEW PHONE APP
TRACKS GOVERNMENT WASTE
American Spectator – Teresa Mull –

Federal spending seems more
outrageous when it hits close to home, and now smart phone users are able to
monitor government waste instantly with the “Open the Books” mobile phone
application.
The free app allows citizens to “see the massive money flows from
Washington , D.C. into every zip code.” The application
“hyper-localizes” the fed’s checkbook spending, including contracts, loans,
grants, direct payments, insurance payments, farm subsidies, and five years of
federal salaries.
Open the Books ™ for Mobile
Free download from the App store.
Finger-tip fast, all spending hyper-localized to your zip code. (They do ask
for donations on the website – this is not a government
agency)
